I hope all of you had a Safe and happy 4th of July with friends and family. As we enter into the
summer and the lodge goes dark I hope everyone enjoys the summer, be sure to spend time with
your family. There will still be activities going on at the lodge but we will not have any tyled meetings. We will be
having a family night the 5th Thursday in July, and we will still be doing degree practices on Wednesday nights. We
will return to tyled meetings on Wednesday September, 2nd with an EA catechism. Time truly has flown by and I
cannot believe we are already half way through the year. With that said I could not be happier with how things have
gone so far. We have established a good momentum and I hope we can carry this until the end of the year and
throughout the next year.
I will be reviewing the master calendar and making a few adjustments over the summer and one completed I will
have this sent out to the craft via email and it will be included in the monthly trestle board as it always is. Not a
whole lot will change but there are a few things I need to update. Once important thing I do need to mention is that
the DDGM R∴W∴ O’neil received a not from the Grand Master that particular lodges are to stop any and all fund
raising for the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory. M∴W∴ Boring will be sending an official message to all the
lodges and we will get this information out to you as soon as we receive it. I look forward to seeing you all in
September as we continue the rest of 2015 and begin to welcome 2016.
Fraternally,
Brian D. Moffat

Brothers,
Summer has arrived and none too soon! All of us have too much in our calendars these days and taking
the Wednesdays and Thursdays of weekly Lodge regimen off the table for a couple months will give us
the opportunity to relax, recharge our “get up and go”, and to enjoy time with friends and family. I hope
each of you will find your summer to be enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you around, about, and in the lodge in the fall
months.
Our annual St John's Day BBQ was changed this year from a fundraiser to a family picnic for the larger Nitram family.
Kudos, Bravo Zulus, accolades and appreciation go to Brother Greg Williamson, our Junior Warden, who orchestrated a
wonderfully pleasant afternoon for the families of Nitram Lodge, including the ladies of Bethlehem Chapter, Tahuti Court, and
Pack 188. The horseshoe pits and rearranged table area that were last year's Masters project were enjoyed by many. Speaking
of shoes, our Senior Deacon (a purveyor of shoes in the marketplace) did quite well in the Horseshoe Tournament. Rumor has
it that he may want to find another partner with a less flamboyant style than Rick Hoover for the next tournament. Also players
of note included Ney Delgado, CJ Morris, Dave Henderson, Tim Long, and yours truly. Great food, wonderful weather, and
several games, added together with fellowship and brotherly love made this an activity to remember.
Our continuing work as Masons is to make ourselves and others better. I’m going to reflect on that goal during the summer and
I challenge each of you to make yourselves better in your life for the benefit of your self, your family and those around you.
Fraternally,
Chuck Bailey, Senior Warden
Hello Nitram Family,
Wow…half way through the year already! Though it seems things have moved so quickly, we have met
many new friends and brothers and created memories through our experiences that will last a lifetime. I
myself can’t wait to see what the next half year brings with it!
A special thanks to all of our friends and families that participated in the Nitram Lodge “picnic” event on June 28th. It was
very fulfilling to look out on the crowd and see so many smiling faces enjoying the fellowship that is too seldom seen outside
of organizations like ours. If anyone is ready for more – keep Nitram Family Night in mind for July 30th. As always, it will be a
pot-luck event with the main course provided and as entertainment we will be watching “How to Train Your Dragon”. Family
night has been a great event thus far and an opportunity for friends and family alike to get together and have some fun.
Don’t forget about the breakfast coming up on August first…though we are officially “dark” there are always opportunities for
us to get together. I look forward to seeing you all very soon and thank you all so much for all of the support over the last six
months.
Sincerely Yours,
Greg Williamson

Even though we are dark, my Brothers, there is still a lot of activity going on at the Lodge.
We will have our Yard Sale on Saturday August 22nd, starting at 8:00 a.m. and lasting until we
sell out of merchandise. We urgently need your sellable items to add to the “mix”, so please let
us know if you can bring in some unneeded merchandise to put on the tables!
Looking forward to seeing you on the 22nd.

Golf Tournament

Friends and Brothers:
Hope you and your family and friends had a happy and safe 4th of July.
This is to inform you of an event scheduled 60 days from today. This golf tournament is for our residents of the
Masonic Home such as the ‘treat fund’, support activities, events for ‘fun’ times. This year, we are also including
our ‘treasure chest’ fund to support efforts for those (within Districts 20&21) inspiring to run for office of Junior
Warden and ultimately our Grand Master. Both of these are worthy causes and therefore should be promoted,
endorsed and mainly enjoyed with fun and fellowship! Help spread the word and raise awareness of this exciting
and wonderful event.
Yours Truly and Fraternally,
William B. “Billy” Garrett, Jr., PM, PDDGM
Past President
Secretary
