For whatever reason, God chose faith to be theprimary basis of relating to Him. After the fall, we

cant see God and walk with Him like Adam and Eve

seemed to be able to do. The way we relate to God,and everything we receive from Him, must be by faith

now. So when He chose a man and a family and anation through whom to reveal Himself,

He began with someone who believed: Abraham.

1. Go to the land I will _______ you. (Genesis 12:1)How would the people around you react if you said

you were moving but had no idea where?Faith requires risk and getting out of our

comfort zone.

2. I will make you into a ______________ nation. (Genesis 12:2)How would you react to a couple in their 90s who were still clinging to

their belief that they would one day have a child?God is the promise keeper. We dont need to help Him.

3. Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you ___________. (Genesis 22:2)How would you respond if God told you to give up the most important thing to

yousomething He had promised you long ago?We are to love God above all else. Believe Him even when He seems to wound

your heart at its most vulnerable place.

>>>>>>>>>>>> CONCLUSION:Hebrews 11:6 says it is impossible to please God without faith. The Apostle Paulwrote that we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Jesus said all things

are possible to those who believe (Mark 9:23). Apparently, faith is really importantto God. It is the currency of His kingdom, and our experience of His kingdom

depends on what we are able to believe.

1) Recognize that you are SINNER and need a personal relationship with God.2) Never trust in what you can do to earn the gift of SALVATIONChrist has for you.3) Come under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and SUBMITto all His ways.4) Ask for His grace for you to SERVE anAd follow and obey Him for the rest of your life.
