A Prayer For “Renew My Church”

Lord Jesus, you speak to us today, as you spoke to holy men and women

who have gone before us.In every age and in our own time,

you call to us and say: Renew My Church.

Pour out the gift of your Holy Spirit upon us, and so enable us to hear you clearly

to listen to each other attentively to imagine our future boldly

to discern your direction wisely to persevere in your holy will courageously

to stay together in charity to surrender our own plans readily

to embrace the greater goodto hand on your gifts to future generations.

May we remain in the holy company of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the apostles, and all the saints.

May their example and presence inspire us with patient confidence

in the work of your grace.

We ask this of you who live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,

forever and ever. Amen

aby przyjmować większe dobro i przekazywać Twoje dary przyszłym pokoleniom.

Trwajmy w świętym gronieNajświętszej Maryi Dziewicy, apostołów i wszystkich świętych.

Niech ich przykład i obecnośćnatchną nas cierpliwą ufnością

w działanie Twojej łaski.

Prosimy o to Ciebie, który żyjesz i królujeszz Ojcem w jedności Ducha Świętego, jeden Bóg

przez wszystkie wieki wieków. Amen.

Who We Are

Through the vehicles of the four pillars for pro-life efforts in America, and as set forth by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and as prescribed in Saint John Paul II’s

Encyclical Evangelium Vitae, the Archdiocese of Chicago Respect Life Ministry seeks to transform society into a Culture of Life where every human being is valued and protected,

from the moment of conception to natural death. We educate and inspire people throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago to understand the truth about why and how we are created in

God’s image of love, especially according to the teachings found in Saint Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.

40 Days for Life Prayer Campaign

You can protect mothers and children by joining this worldwide mobilization!

Through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils and community outreach, 40 Days for Life has inspired 750,000 volunteers!

With God’s help, here are the proven results in 20 coordinated campaigns:

13,305 babies saved from abortion 154 abortion workers converted

"In our society, human life is especially under attack from abortion, which some political actors mischaracterize as an issue of women's health.

" USCCB Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship

Surely it takes faith and love to grow things from the earth; Yes, a good measure of faith, With lots of love and hard

work. A deep love for growing things, Faith in the goodness of God who brings forth life from a seed Human hands plant

in the sod. The Lord gives the body strength to ply the shovel and hoe, and it’s worth the sore muscles, just to see

the green things grow. -Steve Michael Schumacher

So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. -Corinthians 13:13

We are so busy! Most of us have more than one job to do, and we never seem to have enough time. We are workers, volunteers, parents, friends, and most of us are more than one thing at a time.

But which of these is the work of God?

We seldom view our ordinary work as being the work of God. We may think that we have to be ministers or priests, missionaries or charity workers, engaged full-time in works formally identified as

being “God’s work.” But everything we do with a faithful heart and with love for others is God’s work. We each have our own role to fill in the world, and many gifts are necessary. We cannot always see the direct connection of our daily work to the plan of God. But we trust and we believe that God leads us to do what is needed,

where it is needed. What is “God’s work?” “This is the work of God, that you believe in the one he sent” (John 6:29).

We Are One Family, Encircled by God’s Love!

Saint Turibius Parish

Parish Mission Statement

We Believe that God is Love, and when we live in love we live in God and God lives in

us! Therefore we, the Parish Family of Saint Turibius, dedicate ourselves to living out

Christ’s Great Commandment: we will love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength, and we will show our love for God

by the way we love and care for one another. To this end, we will respond to our baptismal

call, strengthened by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and empowered by

the Holy Spirit. As a Family of Faith that has an Attitude of Gratitude for the gifts God has given to us, we will share our time, our talent

and our treasure with each other. We welcome into our parish family all people, because we

believe that together we are the Body of Christ and together we can bring the love, peace,

forgiveness, healing, and joy of Christ into our community in ways we never could have if we were to remain apart. May all who meet us, who worship with us, who work and play with

us, know we are Christians by our love!
