Aura Ultimate AN Long Life is a tri-phosphor lamp with a very

good color rendering and a very good service life as well as an

extremely low lamp failure rate. When the lamp is operated

with an electronic ballast with programmed rapid start the

average rated life is 68,000 hours.

Aura Ultimate AN Long Life gives you the lowest possible

operating cost for your lighting installation. It enables you to

reduce maintenance cost in areas with high ceiling heights

or where it is difficult to access the luminaires, or where a

production stop for replacing lamps is expensive.

ned with an end-of-life protection against overheating.

Aura Ultimate AN Long Life has the same characteristics for

electrical operation and light technical data compared to other

T8 (1’’) fluorescent lamps. It fits in all luminaires developed and

assembled for T8 lamps. The Aura Ultimate AN Long Life range

is designed for operation with electronic ballast (instant start

or programed rapid start).

Long Life Guarantee

Aura Light guarantees 53,000 hours average rated life (electro-

nic ballast, instant start) and 60,000 hours (electronic ballast,

programed rapid start) for Aura Ultimate AN Long Life for

installations that comply with the relevant standards.

Aura Ultimate AN Long Life is developed and manufactured

Overview

In installations where a lamp replacement is difficult and cost

intensive, the long running time of the Aura Ultimate AN Long

Life lamp gives a more cost effective lighting maintenance

and improves the long term planning if a group replacement

is executed. Group replacement of fluorescent lamps provides

an optimal control of operational costs and gives a uniform

level of light. For economical and environmental reasons Aura

Light recommends group replacement of Long Life fluorescent

lamps.

Long Life Technology

Aura Ultimate AN Long Life is developed based on our paten-

ted cathode shield construction. This design provides a unique

fluorescent lamp with an exceptional long service life combined

with an improved end-of-life protection against overheating.

The lumen depreciation process is minimized with a protection

layer inside the glass tube.

Lifetime

The average rated lifetime is measured based on the lamp

being operated with a switching cycle of three hours. The three

hour switching cycle is defined as having the lamp switched

on for two hours and 45 minutes and then switched off for 15

minutes. The average rated lifetime has also been measured

with a switching cycle that is more close to common use, the

12 hour switching cycle. This is defined as having the lamp

switched on for 11 hours and then switched off for one hour.

Technical information

The Aura Ultimate AN Long Life T8 lamp has a high color

rendering index of 85 for excellent color rendering. Aura Ulti-

mate AN Long Life is TCLP Compliant and each lamp contains
