WHAT WILL YOUR PORTAL HAVE TO DO? Our portal is designed to gather

students in one place to buy, sell and trade books with other students in AUS in an efficient and effective manner. The website can host student’s used books in a form of “auctions” online and also to post wanted book titles and see if other students have the wanted books and contact the student who posted on the website and exchange books as required.

WHO WILL MAINTAIN THESE TOOLS?

The tools are maintained by the site administrator , however most of the interactive content in the website is controlled by students.

There will not be extraordinary security measures since the transaction of books will occur in person after the students have agreed on what books to exchange, buy or sell.

Page 23: Aus book cafe

ARE THERE OTHER TECHNICAL ISSUES OR LIMITATIONS?

The only limitations regarding this service is that students have to come in person and inspect the used books manually.

Page 24: Aus book cafe

WHAT METHODS ARE USED TO MEASURE SITE USAGE AND OBTAIN FEEDBACK?

A site meter is implemented in the website and by the number of clicks and page views for each tab we can effectively measure the average number of visitors to the website. In addition, the website adheres to the 3-click rule for a more efficient and faster browsing.

Page 25: Aus book cafe

HOW EFFECTIVELY DOES THE SITE ACCOMPLISH THE GOAL(S)?

Since the website encourages students to interact with other students to find their desired books and make valid transactions with each other it establishes the sense that every student is in the same situation and hence create a market place where the best value is available.
