Infrastructure shines a light on affordable markets
Infrastructure additions for South East Queensland are gathering pace as the State Government strengthens its bid for the 2032 Olympic Games.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s pledge to make the Olympic Bid an opportunity ‘for all of Queensland’
program that extends beyond stadiums and training facilities.
Transport additions have been key, with the Queensland Government spending $2.3 billion on M1 upgrades, serving to lessen commuter congestion on the national highway and improve commercial transportation around nexuses including the Logan Motorway and Port of Brisbane.
In early March, the State Government the Gold Coast Highway as the preferred alignment for the extension (Stage 3) of
Fair and the International Airport at Tugun.
And in rail, the $5.4 billion Cross River Rail project has progressed to the demolition phase. When operational in 2024, it will provide a train to Brisbane from the Gold
Ipswich; and every 15 minutes from the Sunshine Coast;
