Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland extends a warm invitation to you to participate in the ACA Qld 2017 National Conference to be held from 2 to 4 June at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year’s theme is Engage, Learn, Inspire – Sharing the Experience. This is a true focus of any Early Childhood Educator. We hope that you will learn so much and walk away, ready to engage and inspire our country’s greatest asset.

One of the things I love most about the conference is catching up with friends I have met at previous conferences, sharing ideas, raising questions, and discovering something new. For me it is one of the highlights of my working year and after reading the program, I’m very excited about this year’s presenters!

This year we welcome Professor Dorothy Scott OAM, who will inspire you with her talk on working with vulnerable families and children, ACECQA’s own Rhonda Livingstone and the exceptional and extremely talented Jay Laga’aia. And don’t forget my personal favourite, Maggie Dent! I can’t wait to hear her presentation on how to help boys shine in early years – not to be missed!

We have worked hard to make sure that the program provides you with the latest in early childhood education and care so you go back to your service with a renewed energy and full of fresh ideas to help improve outcomes for children. We have designed workshops for Educators, Educational Leaders and Approved Providers / Management.

One of the biggest highlights is our Gala dinner and this year’s theme is Winter Wonderland. Will you come dressed as a snowman or a snowflake, an ice-skater or a frozen tree? Whatever your costume is, it is guaranteed to be a fun night full of laughter and definitely a lot of dancing.

The conference is not just about learning but it is also an opportunity for you to make important connections with like-minded professionals. Engage with your peers and discuss challenges, share ideas, learn and make professional connections. Make sure to visit the exhibition hall and engage with our Sponsors and Exhibitors. This is your chance to keep up to date with the latest innovations in early childhood education and care.

We look forward to meeting you on the Gold Coast!
