Introductionthis publication is a collection of contact details and brief descriptions of project ideas presented by participants of the Central european Joint infoday on Centralised Actions of the erasmus+ programme that takes place on 15–16 october 2019 in brno, Czech republic.

What is the Central European Joint Infoday?the Central european Joint infoday is organised by erasmus+ national Agencies from four neighbouring countries: Austria, the Czech republic, hungary and slovakia. this year’s 10th anniversary of common central european event is set in the context of the erasmus+ Call for proposals 2020.

What are the aims of the event?the main focus of the infoday is centralised actions of the erasmus+ programme where the cooperation between higher education institutions from programme countries and partner countries is strongly supported, i.e. erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, Capacity building in higher education and Jean Monnet. knowledge Alliances and european universities are also included as centralised actions in the higher education sector.

theoretical background of each centralised action is presented on the first day. practical aspects of project preparation and implementation are covered in parallel workshops building on presentations of good practice examples on the second day.

Who are the participants?the event has been promoted to higher education institutions in the four organising countries of Austria, the Czech republic, hungary and slovakia. the international setting of the infoday enhances its networking potential. that’s why participants do not only learn how to submit a successful proposal, but they also have the opportunity to meet experienced project coordinators and find new project partners.

Conference participants have the opportunity to meet representative from european Commission, Dg for education and Culture and national erasmus+ offices from partner Countries. representatives from lebanon, Moldova and Montenegro explain priorities of their respective countries/regions relevant for future project proposals. through in-depth practical presentations and discussions, the organisers expect to provide encouragement and practical support to potential applicants under the next erasmus+ call for proposals.

Short description of project idea(s) the Department of environmental studies is preparing a new Master programme in sustainability-driven entrepreneurship. students will think critically and learn to analyse the social, environmental, and economic impact of business activities. they will develop their entrepreneurial competencies and design their own business projects. in cooperation with investors, companies, town offices, ngos and scientific institutions, they will be able to start their own businesses. the programme is being prepared in cooperation with universities in vienna, barcelona and Copenhagen. students will spend one semester at each of the four participating institutions. At Masaryk university, students will develop their systems thinking focused on sustainability and ecological economics. At vienna university of economics and business, they will study business planning and management. this will include receiving practical support in improving their entrepreneurial skills. At university of barcelona, the courses will concentrate on the methods of evaluating the sustainability in businesses and also on the administrative, legal, and political contexts of operating eco-social entrepreneurship. the last semester at Copenhagen business school will lead students to take part in business acceleration programme, which will help them to transform the business idea into realization. Furthermore, students will look into r&D, innovation management, sustainable urbanism or social entrepreneurship.
