The medical checkup A medical checkup is the best tool to early detect the existence of risk factors or diseases, being able to treat them with greater chances of success, by allowing to know your current health status. A medical checkup usually includes several procedures to be performed by different health professionals, such as a general medical examination, height/weight check, blood pressure check, blood test (hemogram, electrolytes, proteins, hepatic enzymes, sterols and fatty acids, glucose or hormones, among others), urine test (proteins), electrocardiogram (for those at a higher risk of heart disease), chest x-ray (for heavy smokers), etc. Worldwide experts in preventive medicine recommend, in general, to perform a medical checkup every 2 or 3 years in order to detect any significant disorder that could be the begining of a subsequent disease. Therefore, it is the best way to prevent dozens of diseases that only manifest themselves in very delicate stages and that are difficult to diagnose in time due to, for example, asymptomatic characteristics. However, the majority of people don’t follow this recommendation, mainly because of the high amount of time required to perform it. In addition, starting at age 50, more serious diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol, problems of blood circulation, diabetes, respiratory problems (especially smokers) or liver problems (mainly in people who have drunk before), begin to manifest. Unfortunately, many of these diseases, if not detected and treated in time, can cause serious complications and even death. But we cannot forget about heart problems, insomnia, erectile dysfunction, depression or cancer, so a yearly medical checkup is widely recommended for older people, although unfortunately, still few people follow this recommendation (not everyone can understand their importance and wonder if they really need to be done, even when they do not feel any pain or symptoms). Besides, the current busy lifestyle doesn’t help to devote the necessary time to perform all exams once a year, every year. The medical checkup

A medical checkup is the best tool to early detect the existence of risk factors or diseases, being able to treat them with greater chances of success, by allowing to know your current health status.

Uses and purposes

• Get the full picture of your health in an easy, handy, effective and cheap way, allowing people to make the best decisions related with their own health.

• Help in early detection of the main disorders within key body systems and functions, making it easier to deal with the diseases before they get more complicated.

• Help in raising awareness on the importance of prevention in health issues, since it is much easier to deal with diseases if they are on their early stages.

• Contribute in the mentalization of the need for a periodic medical checkup (once every 2 or 3 years for people between 18 and 50, or once every year for these over 50), as worldwide experts in preventive medicine recommend.

• To be used as a shareable report based in a complete blood, urine and stool test in order to be the starting point with your General Practitioner (GP) if any disorder is found.

For whom is intended?

• Men and women from 18 to 50 years old who would like to stay on top of the status of their health to detect any possible subclinical alteration, disorder or pathology (asymptomatic), as well as risk factors for other diseases.

• Men and women over 50 years old who, despite being aware of the benefits of a yearly medical checkup as the best way to prevent dozens of diseases that only manifest themselves in very delicate stages and that are difficult to diagnose in time, can’t devote all required time to perform all necessary exams.

What is CxPREVENTIVE Plus?

• CxPREVENTIVE Plus is the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm based on Deep Learning (DL) that computes several laboratory parameters (79 in male version and 77 in female one), obtained from a simple blood, urine and stool test.

• It allows to obtain a complete picture of your health, helping you to detect early the main disorders of the key body systems.

• It generates a complete report based on Natural Language Processing (NLP), easy to understand and with recommendations on all the disorders detected.

• In addition, you could use this report as an excellent starting point in your doctor appointment, since it includes several templates to help you record all the symptoms and signs you notice, the most relevant medical information (like other diseases, injuries, surgeries or allergies), family history, as well as those medications, vitamins or other supplements that you could be taking, including its dose and the hours of its intake.
