Notes:

- Choose the mounting location where theunit will not interfere with the normal drivingfunction of the driver.

- Before finally installing the unit, connectthe wiring temporarily and make sure it is allconnected up properly and the unit and thesystem work properly.

- Use only the parts included with the unit toensure proper installation. The use ofunauthorized parts can cause malfunctions.

- Consult with your nearest dealer ifinstallation requires the drilling of holes orother modifications of the vehicle.

- Install the unit where it does not get in thedriver's way and cannot injure thepassenger if there is a sudden stop, like anemergency stop.

- If installation ang e exceeds 30°fromhorizontal, the unit might not give itsoptimum performance

- Avoid installing the unit where it would besubject to high temperature, such as fromdirect sunlight, or from hot air, from theheater, or where it would be subject to dust,dirt or excessive vibration.

Din Front/Rear-MountThis unit can be properly installed either

from 'Front' (conventional DIN Front-mount)or 'Rear' (DIN Rear-mount installation,utilizing threaded screw Holes at the sidesof the unit chassis). For details, refer to thefollowing illustrated installation methods.

Installing the unit

Be sure you test all connections first, andthen follow these steps to install the unit.1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, andthen disconnect the cable from the vehiclebattery's negative (-) terminal.

5. The two supplied keys release tabsinside the unit's sleeve so you can removeit. Insert the keys as far as they will go (withthe notches facing up) into the appropriateslots at the middle left and right sides of theunit. Then slide the sleeve off the back ofthe unit.

2. Disconnect the wire harness and theantenna.

3. Press the button on the front panel andremove the control panel (For details, referto 'using the detachable front panel').

4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pullit out to remove it.

Installation OpeningThis unit can be installed in any dashboardhaving an opening as shown below:

7. Reconnect the wire harness and theantenna and be careful not to pinch anywires or cables.

8. Slide the unit into the sleeve until it locksinto place.

9. To further secure the unit, use thesupplied metal strap to secure the back ofthe unit in place. Use the supplied hardware(Hex Nut (M5mm) and Spring Washer) toattach one end of the strap to the mountingbolt on the back of the unit. If necessary,bend the metal strap to fit your vehicle'smounting area. Then use the suppliedhardware (Tapping Screw (5x25mm) andPlain Washer) to attach the other end ofmetal strap to a solid metal part of thevehicle under the dashboard. This strapalso helps ensure proper electricalgrounding of the unit.

Note: Install the short threading terminal ofthe mounting bolt to the back of the unit andthe other long threading terminal to thedashboard.

6. Mount the sleeve by inserting the sleeveinto the opening of the dashboard and bendopen the tabs located around the sleevewith a screwdriver. Not all tabs will be ableto make contact, so examine which oneswill be most effective. Bending open theappropriate tabs behind the dashboard tosecure the sleeve in place.

10. Reconnect the cable to the vehiclebattery's negative (-) terminal. Thenreplace the outer trim ring and install theunit's front panel (see the steps of 'to installthe front panel').

1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, andthen disconnect the cable from the vehiclebattery's negative (-) terminal.

2. Remove the metal strap attached theback of the unit (if attached).

3. Press the release button to remove thefront panel.

4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pullit out to remove it.

5. Insert both of the supplied keys into theslots at the middle left and right sides of theunit then pull the unit out of the dashboard.

If your vehicle is a Nissan, Toyota, followthis mounting instruction. Use the screwholes marked T (Toyota), N (Nissan)located on both sides of the unit to fastenthe unit to the factory radio mountingbrackets supplied with your vehicle.

Fasten the unit to the factory radiomounting brackets. Align the screw holeson the bracket with the screw holes on theunit, and then tighten the screws (5x5mm)on each side.

FM station is received in stereo mode.However, if the signal weak or receptionis not as good as you would like, switchingto MONO mode usually improves the overallsound quality.

Short pressing the button, it scanseach preset stations in the memories of thecurrent band. Each preset station will blinkfor 5 seconds with releasing mute, then goto next station, finally the radio will go toplay the start preset station. Press theagain to stop preset scanning.

Pressing the button for more than 2seconds, it will enter auto store mode.The whole band is scanned and the sixstrongest stations are stored into the presetmemories, after scanning is finished.

Press the button short toggles AFmode on or off. There are 3 state the “AF”icon on the LCD display:

When AF switching mode is selected, theradio checks the signal strength of the AFall the time. The interval of checking time ofeach AFs depends on the signal strength ofcurrent station, from a few minute for strongstation to few seconds for weak station.Every time that new AF is stronger thancurrent station, it switches over to thatfrequency for very short time. Because themute time of AF switching or checking timeis very short, it is almost inaudible in case ofnormal program. During FM mode, when AFis on, manual store, Auto store/preset scanfunction can only receive and save RDSprogram.

Briefly press the or button, the autosearch will start. It will search upward ordownward for the strong signal radio stationwithin the current band. In auto tuning,press the or button to stop tuning.Pressing and holding the or button forabout 2 seconds until “MANUAL” appearson LCD display, it will change into manualsearch mode.

Press the or button short andrepeatedly to manually search upward ordownward step by step for the desired radiostation within the current band.In manual search process, if the bothbuttons haven’t been pressed within 5seconds, it will change into automaticsearch mode automatically, “AUTO” will bevisible on the LCD display.

To store / recall a preset radio stations

You can store up to a total of 18 FM radiostations in the memory, manually orautomatically.

- Select a band (if needed)- Select a station by buttons- Press and hold a preset button ( - )

which you want to store the station for atleast 2 seconds, the current station willbe saved into the relevant preset memorybank. When a RDS station is beingstored, the relevant PI, PS, AF list arestored.

- Select a band (if needed).- Press a preset button (1-6) briefly to

recall the stored station. In case of RDSmode, the strongest AF is selected afterAF searching.

If no button is pressed for 5 seconds, itreturns to normal state.

Press the button briefly to toggle thePTY search on or off. When PTY searchmode is on, and the or button ispressed, PTY search will be started. PTYsearch stops when it finds the station thathas the selected program type, otherwise,the “NOT FND” will be visible onthe LCD display. During the PTY searchprocess, press any key to stop the PTYsearch.

- When TA mode is on, but no trafficannouncement is transmitted, only TP iconblinks.

- When TA mode is on and TP signal isavailable from the current station, TP iconstops blinking and is turned on.

- When TA RDS signal is available from thecurrent station, TA icon is turned on.

- When TA mode is on and a trafficannouncement is transmitted:a. The volume set will be set to TA volume.b. It is possible to interrupt disc (CD/ MP3 /

WMA), USB/IPOD/SD/MMC, AUX IN ormode, it will

switch temporarily to radio mode.c. Text “Traffic” appears on the LCD

1. If there is no CD/MP3 disc inserted in theplayer:Gently insert a CD/MP3 disc with theprinted side facing up into the disc slot untilyou feel some resistance. The disc is drawinto the driver automatically. The CD/MP3playback begins.2. If a CD/MP3 disc is already inserted inthe player, press button to switch tothe CD/MP3 mode.

Mixed-Mode CD Operations

The unit is equipped with a USB port on thefront panel of the unit, you can connect aUSB stick through the USB port.

When you insert a USB stick through theport, the unit will search the MP3 files andstart to play it automatically.If insert a disc into the disc slot while readthe file in the USB device, the unit willplaying the disc first. If you want to play thefile in the USB device, press thebutton to switch to USB mode.

- Do not warp discs.- A disc should always be kept in its casewhen not in use to prevent from damage.- Do not place discs in the following places:
