P R O D U C T D E S C R I P T I O N

All laboratory measuring devices in theMacherey-Nagel "Nanocolor Vis" seriesrecord the cuvettes (cells) and the measure-ments to be taken automatically. Aftertaking the detected measurements the measurement results are saved on the USBstick. The stored data is copied onto thecomputer via the USB stick, is evaluated byUDIS and then imported into the control system. This partially automatic processremoves the need for manual recording andsubsequent entering into the control system. This leads to significantly less time spent onthese tasks, lower probability of errors andless data loss.In future the data can be transferred directlyfrom the laboratory measuring devices toUDIS over the ethernet. This will fully automate the process of laboratory valuetransmission into the control system.

Sensus Xenon devices are suitable for connecting to mechanical water meterswith reed contact or minibus connection. They can record 2 water meter readings. These are transmitted to the "watchmy-home.de" data server. By configuring quantity limits, automated alarms for pipeburst/leakage are generated and transmitted. These values are made available to controlsystems by UDIS by means of OPC.

The "GSM-3000" module made by "ACSControl System" is used for energy-autono-mous remote data transmission of recordedlevels from Hydrolog 1000 and 3000 levelprobes. The levels recorded with energyautonomy are transferred to an FTP serverwhere they are saved as an archive. These archives are decompressed by UDIS,prepared and the measured values are madeavailable to control systems by means of OPC.

The Nicos control system is used, amongother things, for coupling to Nivus Datacontdevices and the RÜB controller. Once a day, these devices transmit a status messagetogether with the archives of the last 24h. If a fault occurs, further data transfer is ini-tialised in addition to the routine message,in order to transmit the fault. The Nicos system receives this data and stores it in itsarchive. In addition, these archives are available as CSV data. This is read in by UDISand is transferred to the SCADA V10 controlsystem.

The offline data logger (ODS) is used for convenient measured value acquisition andin intended to automate subsequent datamaintenance in a SCADA database. To do this the ODS identifies the plant via aQR code and an input mask appears for allmeasured value tasks in this plant. The inputis checked on site using Excel formulae, whereby the Excel interface gives the providerassociation the opportunity to enter theplausibility checks independently too. Laterthe measured data is entered by automatedmeans into the control system in the controlcentre and is synchronised back to the tabletas offline values.
