Numerous chairside procedures practiced in the classroom and labinclude digital and manual x-rays, impressions, study models, dental charting, suctioning,and passing instruments. Job shadowing and work-based learning assignments alsoenable the students to expand their knowledge and skills through assisting the dentistand dental team.
Want to learn more about a career in health care? This program provides an overviewo health careers while teaching basic health care skills and laboratory techniquesthat can lead to employment. The combination o theory, laboratory skills, and clinicalobservations will provide optimal learning allowing students to experience the healthcare eld rst hand. High school students earn an anatomy/physiology credit or thiscourse.
Learn all the basics to be a successul medical administrative proessional. Trainingincludes: medical transcription, medical billing, health insurance, diagnostic andprocedural coding, and administrative health care concepts related to a variety oacilities. This sel-paced program combines clinicals and classroom experience covering all aspectso nursing necessary or completion o the national licensing exam or the LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN). A licensed practical nurse (LPN) is trained to provide routine nursingcare and allowed to perorm more complex tasks only under the supervision or direction
o a registered nurse, licensed physician, or dentist. They bring their caring, sympatheticnatures to hospitals, home health care services, nursing care acilities, physicians ofcesand other health care providers and agencies.
Respiratory Therapists (RT) are highly trained medical sta who work with patients whoneed assistance with respiratory or cardiopulmonary problems. An RT is procient in
the therapeutic use o medical gases, humidication, mechanical ventilation, articialairways, chest physiotherapy and CPR. As a health care specialist, the RT may also beinstrumental in the diagnosis, treatment and preventive care o patients with asthma,pulmonary emphysema, pulmonary edema and respiratory distress. Upon programcompletion, a student may test or Certied Respiratory Therapist credentials, OklahomaLicense, and is eligible or the advanced level examination to become a RegisteredRespiratory Therapist.
A surgical technologist is a member o the surgical team that includes the surgeon,anesthesiologist, certied registered nurse anesthetist, registered nurse and licensedpractical nurse working to deliver patient care beore, during and ater surgery. He orshe handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgicalprocedure and has an understanding o the procedure being perormed, anticipates theneeds o the surgeon, and ensures quality patient care while maintaining the sterile eld.Students will have the opportunity or clinical experiences in the operating room, centralprocessing, anesthesia, cardiac catheterization lab, outpatient department, endoscopy
and the post anesthesia care unit. Upon completion o the program students may testto become Certied Surgical Technologists (CST) through the National Board o SurgicalTechnology and Surgical Assisting.
This two-year, advanced medical program trains students in radiography. Radiographyuses radiation to produce images o tissues, organs, bones, and vessels o the body. Theradiographer is an essential member o the health care team who works in a variety osettings. Responsibilities include accurately positioning the patient, producing qualitydiagnostic images, maintaining equipment, and keeping computerized records. Thiscerticate program o specialized training ocuses on each o these responsibilities.Graduates take a national certiying examination to become a registered technologist inradiography, RT(R).
This nine-month course covers curriculum that includes physics, anatomy, patientcare, and saety procedures or perorming an MRI. The training is structured in anindependent, sel-study ormat, with direction rom Autry radiography aculty. Hands-onexperience is provided with an experienced MRI technologist. Graduates take a certiyingexamination to become a registered technologist in magnetic resonance imaging, RT(MR).Applicants must be ARRT registered or registry eligible in radiography, nuclear medicineor radiation therapy.

This program teaches basic skills in child care, residential and commercial housekeeping,and ood service. It emphasizes the development o organizational skills, workplace skills
and good workplace attitudes. These abilities are enhanced through practical applicationin the classroom and lab and through supervised work experiences.
This course o study encompasses various aspects o the culinary arts industry. Thecaeteria-style acility provides opportunities that include perormance in quantity oodproduction, state-o-the-art equipment operation, banquet/catering experiences, andcompetencies involving diverse cuisine.
This program prepares students or employment in the cosmetology eld by teachingthe curriculum, skills, and work behaviors as set by the Oklahoma State Board oCosmetology. Students practice haircutting and styling, coloring, and permanent wavingas well as manicuring, pedicuring and perorming acials. These skills are practiced in amodel salon/lab setting. To become a licensed cosmetologist, students must pass theOklahoma State Board written and practical exam with a score o at least 75% on each.
Course content contains training in re saety, search and rescue skills, HAZCOM and basicemergency medical service skills. Completers o this program will be eligible to certiyor Fireghter level I and level II, HazMat Awareness, HazMat Operations, and can test orNational Registry Emergency Medical Technician (Basic). Live burns and certication willbe held on Saturdays.

Every company, every industry, and even a growing number o households rely on avariety o technological devices or their communications, operations, entertainment,
and security needs. Earn college credits toward an associate o applied science degreein electronics technology and develop the skills necessary to keep homes and industryrunning. Trained technicians work in areas such as eld service, manuacturing, building,installing, testing, and maintaining electronic systems and equipment. Electronics is anexcellent oundation or students working toward a degree in engineering.
This two-year adult program trains students to become highly-trained electronictechnicians. Electronic technicians install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair automatedequipment controlled by electrical, electronic and computer systems used in a widevariety o applications, such as industrial robots and automated controls. High demandareas include: petroleum, manuacturing, medical equipment, renewable energy, oodprocessing, aerospace, deense, and telecommunications. This program meets thetechnical requirements or an associate o applied science degree in cooperation withNorthern Oklahoma College.
This program emphasizes gas, arc, MIG, TIG, and pipe welding while utilizing the theoryand practices o welding, brazing, and assembly.

Extensive training in leading-edge automotive diagnostic and repair techniques isoered in this program. Specialty areas covered are electrical systems, brakes, steering,suspension, AC/heating, engine repair, and engine perormance.
This course provides students with training to repair or replace auto body parts using
hand and power tools. Students also learn to renish suraces through painting or spotpainting. Some topics covered are saety, welding and cutting techniques, identicationand analysis o damage, measuring and texturing systems, and renishing rom minorrepairs to total paint jobs.
Develop a solid technical background in the areas o engine overhaul, electrical systems,hydraulics, and air conditioning. Students learn to maintain, diagnose and repair dieselengines.
