On Friday 10 March, more than 100 golfers of all ages and golfing abilities gathered at the Queenscliff Golf Club to participate in a fundraising day for the Golf Club and local charity Cottage by the Sea.
Sponsored by The Point, local participants tackled the challenging and picturesque 18hole course in glorious autumnal sunshine.
The funfilled day proved to be a huge success, raising a total of $22,000 through donations, participation fees and a successful silent auction. A total of $3,200 was donated to Cottage by the Sea with the remaining funds going to the Queenscliff Golf Club.

Maree Greenwood and her husband John Sisley, have lived in Geelong for the past 30 years and recently decided to make the move south to the Bellarine Peninsula.
Earlier this year, the couple purchased a 448sqm block of land at The Point and are looking forward to building a stylish and modern one storey, three bedroom family home complete with enough space to allow regular visits from their two daughters.
As keen scuba divers, a new home at The Point, Point Lonsdale offers Maree and John the opportunity to access their hobby much more easily and with greater regularity.
“There are a lot of great qualities about The Point, but what really appealed to us was the lifestyle it could offer us in the years to come. The location is absolutely perfect as we are close to our work, our friends and all the local amenities we could ever need. This, combined with having a scuba diving paradise the Port Phillip right on our doorstep meant it was an opportunity we just couldn’t pass up,” Ms Greenwood said.
“My husband and I both have a strong connection with the local area and for us, this move was about lifestyle.
We’ve lived in an old Victorian terrace house in Geelong for many years and we’re excited to move into a new, modern and easy to maintain home.
“We did initially look at other estates and established houses on the Bellarine Peninsula but for us, The Point offered the best value in terms of location, community and price.”

Sunday sessions at Basil’s farmEnjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon at Basil’s Farm as you kick back with a beer, wine, tea or coffee, and listen to the dulcet tones of local talented musicians on the farmhouse veranda.
The Sunday sessions take place on the banks of Swan Bay every Sunday in April. Check the website for artists and ticket information. Entry is free, however, bookings are advised.
