In the first part of this project, we are going to explain some of the products which we grow in Spain, in Autumn.

AUTUMN CULTIVATIONS

OLIVESOne of the main products are the olives. Nowadays

they are grown in the Mediterranean Basin. Spain

is the World leader in production

OLIVE OIL

It is vegetable oil extracted from the olive.

It´s mainly culinary.It’s very healthy and it´s most used in

Spain

DISHES WITH OLIVES AND OIL

The olive is used in salads, starters, “tapas”...

And the olive oil is used in salads, spanish omelette, toasts, stews...

Spanish Omelette’s Recipe·Having cut up the potatoes and onion, fry in olive oil.

·Then, the cast in the beaten egg with salt.

·Finally, we fry the mixture in a pan. ·And so, we get a delicious Spanish Omelette.

ORANGES·The orange is a citric fruit which is grown in Spain.Its colour gives the name to this fruit, ORANGE.

·In Seville, there are a lot of orange’s trees, but their oranges are bitter, so they are used to produce orange’s jam.

Chestnuts·THE CHESTNUT IS A TYPICAL DRIED FRUIT OF SPAIN. IT COMES FROM THE CHESNUT TREES, EXACTLY FROM ITS SPINY CUPULES ALSO CALLED “BUR”

·TO ROAST CHESTNUTS, IT IS ADVISABLE TO GIVE A CUT TO INFLATE AND GRAB WELL.

POMEGRANATE·The fruit of the pomegranate is a red

fruit which comes from the pomegranate’s tree (Punica granatum). It has a very sweet flavour and it used to be

eaten with sugar in Spain.
