The best places to see vibrant autumn leaves are in the eastern United States and in southeastern Canada.
You can tell it's the beginning of fall when the leaves begin to change color, the air feels a bit crisper and halloween candy and costumes appear in stores. But when does fall officially kick off?
The 2015, the Autumn Equinox falls on September 23rd.
The Fall Equinox is the first day of fall and signifies the start of shorter days and longer nights in the Northern Hemisphere. On this day, both day and night are equal, with 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. The balance of light and dark also happens on theSpring Equinox but in the spring, the days (light hours) become longer and the nights (dark hours) become shorter.

Trends come and go, but it looks like gradient hair is here to stay. Over the past few
seasons, we’ve transitioned from foil highlights and solid all-over color to softer and
more natural looking dye jobs. Yet despite the styles’ popularity, we’re still tripping over
the labels. Ombré? Sombré? Balayage? Highlights? What’s the difference? Get familiar
with these low-maintenance styles. No matter what your preference is I can help you
achieve the color and style you want.
Traditional highlights are uniform and
defined. You see a contrasting yet
subtle difference between the natural
color and the highlights usually equal
amounts of highlights to natural color
ratio is seen. This method usually re-
quires a 6-8 week touch up for the
new growth. Traditional highlights can
very from heavy to very few. Price
range is from $35 to $90.

Blonde Balayage
Balayage is a updated technique with thicker ribbons of
blonde through out the hair, leaving more of the natural color
to extend the time between retouch. Depending on the
length and thickness of hair this price range starts at $110
and up

Now we see the trends go-
ing to the Sombre, Bronde
way. This is a more blend-
ed ,subtle version of the
O’mbre. This trend allows
for more time between
touch ups. This is a blend-
ing of brown and blonde or
of dark brown and light
brown any color combina-
tion is acceptable .
The blending of the two colors or “blurring”
the lines gives you a seamless transition
into both colors with out the “root” effect.
Ombre
The demand for dark roots and lighter
ends started a few years back ,Ombré
can feature quite a stark dark-to-light
fade . Usually considered a Specialty
Color Service that requires a consulta-
tion first price from $90 and up
depending on length and color choice.
Sombre or Subtle Ombre is the latest trend in gradient hair color.
Unlike Ombre which really only worked for brunettes in the past ,
somber is a great service for anyone, the gently blended lighter
sections start up a bit higher and the lower lengths have ribbons of
dark color for a more gradual transition. The great thing about
these gradient colors you don’t need to be only specific colors the
technique is great on any color range from the most colorful to the
most subtle of color. This service also falls in to the specialty color service and will re-
quire a consultation prior to service. Price ranges from $110 and up depending on
length and color choice

Tips for wearing curls this fall/ winter season.
IT ALL STARTS WITH YOUR HAIR CUT Thick, blunt ends won’t hold a curl, long layers work best for beach waves. The health of your hair plays an important role, too. In fact, the more damaged and split the ends of your hair are, the harder it will be to curl your hair.
CUT BACK ON THE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
We all know that unwashed hair holds a style better than freshly washed hair, but did you know that cutting back on the hair conditioner can also help your hair hold a
INVEST IN A GOOD DRY SHAMPOO
On the days when you’re skipping the hair wash, a little dry shampoo will do wonders in adding some volume and getting rid of any excess oil.
PROTECT YOUR LOCKS Before you bust out the curling iron, make sure to apply a heat protector to your hair so you don’t damage it.
CRACK OUT THE BOBBY PINS/CLIPS
If I could only give you ONE piece of advice about how to get your curls to last, it’s this: roll each fresh curl around your finger, fasten it to your head with a bobby pin or a curler clip and then, when all of your hair has been curled and pinned, spray with hair spray, leave for 10 minutes, and re-move the curls one by one. Also start curling at the top of your head this will allow you to clip all the curls out of the way and you wont pull out the curls
