Spring 1944 - Seven Soviet soldiers have been captured by the Nazis, imprisoned naked and without possessions in the empty cellar of a monastery and then abandoned by their captors. Stripped of all ties to their world before, the prisoners abandon and redefine their concepts of order, society, and human nature.

To survive, the men contemplate murder and cannibalism. How do they reconcile rank, faith, dignity and humanity?

Young Pleasance#MyWay19TH - 23RD DEC 5PM£10 (£8 CONC)Our Sinatra-obsessed teenager plunges into the Twittersphere in pursuit of his digital darling, but she’s too busy choosing her Instagram filter.

A stunning new contemporary comedy with a cast of 30, populated with young talent the likes of which “makes many of the adult ensembles at the Fringe squirm with envy” (Skinny), and filled with wry and comic observation of the social media vortex in which teenagers revolve.

Young Pleasance presents a strictly limited run of their swirling multimedia love story for now, direct from the Edinburgh Fringe.

“An exuberant, high-energy, inventive production withstrong ensemble performances that is totally relevantto these youngsters and is an absolute delight”★★★★★

7TH - 11TH JAN 8:50PM£10 (£8.50 CONC)

Iceland. 1940. The British are coming.

With 25,000 British troops arriving in Reykjavik, thewomen of Iceland certainly have something to focus on. KATE is the story of one Icelandic family following the outbreak of the war, with their wayward daughter Selma and helpful lodger Kate. A lively reflection on the shared and lost history between Britain and Iceland, with live music and gale force winds.

The Bastard Queen is a brand new and original piece of writing that made its debut as a Naughty Corner production at the Fringe this year. A pitch-black comedy set two years after the end of the world in a post-apocalyptic Britain which follows the survival of the last five people left on earth.

Proudly supported by the Pleasance, and now in its eighth year, the NSDF Emerging Artist Award brings the best of new work from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to a London audience. The best and brightest work from the biggest festival in the world, for one week only.
