You MAY use the same 7054 to VERIFY several ATONS/PATONS if they are in the same general area such as a portion of a creek.

Only one person can get credit for a single Discrepancy or Verification. For example, if two of you go out and see one discrepancy, one person gets credit for it.

Reports and FormsReports and FormsAll reports MUST be sent in electronic format.

The new 7054 forms are done in Excel.

Complete the form, save it, and send it as an attachment to your:

FSO-NS, SO-NS, and the ADSO-NS for your sector, and ANT team.

Page 28: AV Workshop

Reports and FormsReports and FormsSend the 7030’s to your IS officer. (Some IS officers also want a copy of the 7054 to verify you did the work. NOTE * I’d suggest you send a copy of the 7030 to the ADSO for your sector.)

Page 29: AV Workshop

Reports and FormsReports and Forms IMPORTANT !

You do a separate 7030 for the ATON/PATON discrepancy or verification and the coxswain does a separate 7030 for the actual patrol.

Page 30: AV Workshop

Reports and FormsReports and FormsAny discrepancy needs to be reported to your ANT unit or boat station as soon as possible after you observe it. If it’s critical, call it in then via radio or cell phone (if you have one onboard.)

Other NS ActivitiesOther NS ActivitiesDo your ANT units need a platform to get them out to service an ATON?

You can take them out to clear nests. You MUST be trained by the ANT. They should provide you with protective gear. (masks, suits, hard hats).

Page 43: AV Workshop

Other NS ActivitiesOther NS ActivitiesYou may also be interested in becoming a minor ATON Technician. This requires training with Gold side ATON training teams that are in the district, plus work with your local ANT unit.

You MUST take the climbing course that is provided by the ANT before you are allowed to climb on an ATON.

Page 44: AV Workshop

Other NS ActivitiesOther NS ActivitiesThe more you help the ANT unit, the more they are likely to ask you to help them do.

Good reports to your ANT unit will result in their having more confidence in your work and will result in them depending on you in the future.
