About AvePoint Pipeline Pro AvePoint Pipeline Pro for Microsoft Dynamic CRM empowers business users to be more productive when preparing for customer interaction on the go. Pipeline displays all open Entities in a consolidated interface for mobile devices, providing quick and easy ways to adjust Entities probabilities and close dates and display a visual graph of relevant Entities for yourself, a region, a team, or a set of particular users.

AvePoint Pipeline Pro supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 (Online and On-Premises) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 (Online and On-Premises).

AvePoint Pipeline Pro is available in the following languages:

• English

• Japanese

Required Permissions To install and use Pipeline Pro Solution properly, ensure that the permission requirements are met:

• The user who imports Pipeline Pro Solution to Microsoft Dynamics CRM has the System Administrator security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

• The user who uses Pipeline for Microsoft Dynamics CRM has the AvePoint Pipeline Pro User Account security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

• The user who manages Pipeline profiles has the following permissions:

o Read permission to Entity, Field, Relationship, System Form, View, and Web Resource.

o Read and Write permissions to AvePoint Pipeline Configuration Organization.

o Create, Read, Write, Delete, Assign, and Share permissions to AvePoint Pipeline Profile Organization.

Overview of Installation and Configuration To properly install AvePoint Pipeline Pro for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the following steps must be performed in this order. Click the link to jump to the corresponding section.

Use the system administrators for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to complete the following steps:

Importing the Pipeline Pro Solution 1.

Registering a License 2.

Creating a Profile 3.

Configuring Pipeline Pro Profiles 4.

Ranking Pipeline Pro Profiles 5.

Granting the Security Role 6.

Use the system administrators or the AvePoint Pipeline Pro user accounts to complete the following steps:

Installing Pipeline on your Windows 8 Operating System 7.

After you complete the steps above, Pipeline will use the AvePoint Pipeline profile configured in Dynamics and load the configuration. If the steps above are not configured, Pipeline will use default settings.

Importing the Pipeline Pro Solution The Pipeline Pro Solution must be imported into Dynamics before any of its functionality can be leveraged. Follow the steps below to import the Pipeline Pro Solution into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013/2011.

Log into Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013/2011. 1.

*Note: The user who logs into Microsoft Dynamics must have the System Administrator security role for Microsoft Dynamics CRM to import the Pipeline solution.

*Note: The screenshots in this guide were captured in a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 environment using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Navigate to SETTINGS > CUSTOMIZATIONS > Solutions. 2.

Click Import on the ribbon to import the solution. The Select Solution Package pop-up window 3.appears.

In the Select Solution Package pop-up window, click Browse…. Locate and select the 4.AvePoint_Pipeline_Pro_Managed_Serial_Number.zip file that contains the solution.

Click Next, the Solution Information page appears. 5.

In the Solution Information page, verify the solution Name, Publisher, and Package Type. 6.

If desired, you can view the details of the solution package. 7.

a. Click View solution package details for more details.

o Solution Details – Displays the version, package type, and so on.

o Publisher Details – Displays the detailed information of the publisher.

o Solution Components – Displays the solutions components that will be imported.

b. Click Close to return to the Solution Information page.

c. Click Next to continue.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, select the Enable any SDK message processing steps 8.included in the solution checkbox shown below to complete the import process.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, this checkbox is Activate any processes and enable any SDK message processing steps included in the solution.

*Note: If the checkbox described above is not selected, the steps to install the plug-in will not be activated and the process will not complete.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, click Import and wait for the operation to complete. 9.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, this button is Next.

After the solution imports successfully, click Close to close the Importing Solution page. 10.

Verify that the AvePointPipelinePro solution is displayed in the All Solutions list. 11.

Registering a License After importing the AvePoint Pipeline Pro Solution, you have a 30-day trial. After that, a license must be applied. Refer to the instructions below:

After importing the solution, refresh Microsoft Dynamics CRM. 1.

To go to License Manager, complete the following steps: 2.

• If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013:

i. Hover the mouse on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and then select SETTINGS from the drop-down menu.

ii. Click SETTINGS on the ribbon, and then select AVEPOINT PIPELINE PROFILES from the drop-down menu.

iii. Click the MORE COMMANDS ( ) button on the ribbon, and then select License Manager from the drop-down menu. The Pipeline Pro Registration pop-up window appears.

• If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011:

i. Navigate to Settings > Customization > AvePoint Pipeline Profiles.

ii. Click License Manager on the ribbon. The Pipeline Pro Registration interface appears.

Open the license file using Notepad and copy all of the content within it into the blank text box 3.on the Pipeline Pro Registration interface.

Click Apply to apply the license. The Pipeline Pro License Agreement pop-up window appears. 4.

Select the I accept the terms in the license agreement checkbox, and then click Save. 5.

After the license applied successfully, the license information is displayed in the License Details 6.area.

• Product – The product information that the license is applied to.

• License Type – Display the license type information.

o Demo – The validity period is 30 days.

o Enterprise – The formal license to register the product. The validity period in this License is according to your purchase.

• Number of Licenses – The total number of the users who can use the Pipeline solution is displayed here. If there are more active users than the allowed number of users, the excess number of those users will be displayed in red. Contact an AvePoint representative to purchase an appropriate license.

• Organization GUID – The GUID of the organization that has installed the Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This is used when you want to purchase the Enterprise license.

• Validity Period – The validity period that you can use the Pipeline Pro solution.

Click the close ( ) button to close the Pipeline Pro Registration pop-up window. 7.

Creating a Profile Use the AvePoint Pipeline profiles to customize your own AvePoint Pipeline app. You can select the desired functions to use in the app while configuring these profiles.

To create a new AvePoint Pipeline Profile, refer to the instructions below:

In the AvePoint Pipeline Profiles tab, click NEW on the ribbon. The New AvePoint Pipeline 1.Profile interface appears.

Configure the following settings: 2.

• Profile Name – Enter a name for the profile you are about to create.

• Owner – Enter an owner for this profile. The default owner is the login user of Dynamics.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013,click the search ( ) button and select the Look Up More Records link from the drop-down list. In the Look Up Record pop-up window, enter your search criteria to select another user or team to own the profile.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, the Look Up Record pop-up window appears

after clicking the search ( ) button.

• Profile Status – Select a status for this profile.

o Publish to Owner – The profile can only be used by the owner.

o Publish to Everyone – The profile can be used by other users of Dynamics.

• Description – Enter an optional description for this profile.

Click SAVE to save the newly created profile. 3.

Configuring Pipeline Pro Profiles Pipeline Pro profiles define the desired entities, views, filters, and fields to manage in the Pipeline app. You can also select the desired fields that will be displayed in Pipeline View and Details View.

Complete the following steps to configure a Pipeline Pro profile:

On the AvePoint Pipeline Profiles tab, select the newly created profile. 1.

To go to the Configure Pipeline interface: 2.

• If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, click the MORE COMMANDS ( ) button on the ribbon, and then select Configure Pipeline from the drop-down menu. The Configure Profile interface appears.

• If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, click Configure Pipeline on the ribbon. The Configure Pipeline interface appears.

Entity Page – Configure the Entities, views, and filter conditions for a Pipeline Pro profile. 3.

a. Entities –Drag one or more Entities from the Entities Explorer to the Entities field. You must have at least one Entity in the Entities field. The Opportunities Entity appears in the Entities field by default. However, you can drag it back to Entities Explorer after dragging one or more other Entities from the Entities Explorer.

b. View Management – Define the views for each Entity. All of the views you can use in Pipeline are displayed in the View Explorer. To define the views for each Entity, complete the following steps:

i. Select an Entity from the Entities field.

ii. Drag one or more views from the View Explorer field.

*Note: At least one view is required for each Entity.

iii. Select Enable personal views checkbox in the Personal View field if you want to use personal views for the selected Entity.

iv. Complete the steps above to configure views for the other Entities.

c. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified views in Pipeline.

d. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

*Note: You must define views for all of the Entities configured in the Entities interface. Otherwise, the interface will not advance to the next page, even after clicking Next.

e. Filter Configuration – Define the filter conditions for each Entity configured in the Entities interface. All of the filter conditions available in Pipeline are displayed in the Field Explorer. To configure the filter conditions for each Entity, complete the following steps:

i. Select an Entity from the Entities field.

ii. Drag one or more filters from the Field Explorer field.

*Note: At least one filter is required for each Entity.

iii. Complete the steps above to configure filters for all other Entities.

f. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified filter conditions in Pipeline.

g. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

Pipeline Page – Configure the fields you would like to map to the Pipeline view and display in 4.the details page for each Entity.

a. Pipeline View – Select the fields you would like to map to the Pipeline view for each Entity.

i. View the type of the field in the Pipeline View column.

ii. Select the field of the corresponding type from the Field Type drop-down list in the Field Explorer column. The fields of the selected type are displayed in the Field Explorer column.

*Note: The field that you drag from the Field Explorer list must be the same type of field as the destination. For example, if the type of the Topic field is String, you can only drag a field whose Type is String from the Field Explorer.

iii. Drag one or more displayed fields to the corresponding filed in the Pipeline View column.

iv. Complete the steps above to configure the other fields for this Entity.

v. In the Adjustment Settings filed, select a way to adjust the selected Entity.

Adjust EntityName according to estimated close date – Adjusts the selected Entity in Pipeline according to the estimated close date of this Entity.

Adjust EntityName according to probability – Adjusts the selected Entity in Pipeline according to the probability of this Entity.

You can select either of these two checkboxes or select both of them.

vi. Select another Entity from the Entities column and then complete the steps above to configure fields for the selected Entity.

b. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the Pipeline view in Pipeline.

c. Click Next to proceed to the next page.

d. Details View – Select the fields to display in the details page for each Entity in Pipeline. You can add a field by dragging one to the General Information column or the Line

Items column from the Field Explorer. To configure the Details View for each Entity, complete the following steps:

i. Drag one or more fields from the Field Explorer in the upper-right corner of the interface to the General Information column.

ii. Select an Entity from the Entity drop-down list and a view from the View drop-down list in the Field Explore in the lower-right corner of the interface.

iii. Drag one or more fields from the Field Explorer to the Line Items column.

iv. Select another Entity by clicking it in the Entities column and then repeat the steps above to configure the fields for the selected Entity.

e. Click Sketch Map to view the corresponding locations of the specified fields in Pipeline.

Click Save to save changes to this profile. 5.

Ranking Pipeline Pro Profiles After configuring the Pipeline Pro profiles, change the order of each profile to decide which profile will be first used by the Pipeline app. For more information on which profile will be used by the Pipeline app under different circumstances, refer to Helpful Notes for Profiles. To rank the Pipeline Pro profiles, they must first be configured.

Complete the following steps to rank Pipeline Pro Profiles:

Return to the AvePoint Pipeline Profiles tab. 1.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, click MORE COMMANDS ( ) button, and then select 2.Rank Settings from the drop-down menu to rank the Pipeline Pro profiles. The Rank Profiles interface appears.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, click Rank Settings on the ribbon. The Rank Profiles interface appears.

In the Rank Profiles interface, you can configure and view the following settings: 3.

• Priority – Choose the priority of each Pipeline Pro profile.

• Profile Name – Displays the name of each Pipeline Pro profile.

• Profile Status – Displays the status of each Pipeline Pro profile.

• Owner – Displays the owner of each Pipeline Pro profile.

*Note: Profiles that have not yet been configured are displayed in the Profile Not Configured field. For more information on how to configure the Pipeline Pro profiles, refer to Configuring Pipeline Pro Profiles.

Click the down arrow ( ) button in the Priority column. A drop-down list appears. 4.

Rank the Pipeline Pro profile by selecting a number from the drop-down list. 5.

Click Save to save the configurations. 6.

Helpful Notes for Profiles The following situations explain when and which AvePoint Pipeline Pro profile will be used by Pipeline.

• If only the Publish to Owner profiles exist in Dynamics:

o If the user logging into Pipeline is the owner of one of the profiles, the profile whose owner is this user will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user logging into Pipeline is the owner of more than one profile, the profile with the highest priority will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user logging into Pipeline is not the owner of the Publish to Owner profiles, the default template in the Pipeline app will be used by Pipeline.

• If only the Publish to Everyone profiles exist in Dynamics, the profile with the highest priority will be used by Pipeline.

• If both the Publish to Owner and Public to Everyone profiles exist in Dynamics:

o If the user logging into Pipeline is the owner of more than one Publish to Owner profile, the Publish to Owner profile with the highest priority will be used by Pipeline.

o If the user logging into Pipeline is not the owner of a Publish to Owner profile, the Publish to Everyone profile with the highest priority will be used by Pipeline.

• If neither Publish to Owner nor Publish to Everyone profile exists in Dynamics, the default template in the Pipeline app will be used by Pipeline.

Granting the Security Role After the AvePoint Pipeline Pro solution is imported to Dynamics, the AvePoint Pipeline Pro User Account role will be automatically created in Dynamics. Only users who have this security role or a security role with higher permissions can use AvePoint Pipeline Pro Profile in Pipeline. Users whose permissions are less than this security role will use the default profile in Pipeline. Refer to the instructions below to assign security roles to users.

*Note: Users who have the System Administrator security role can assign security roles to users.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, click SETTINGS on the ribbon, and then select 1.ADMINISTRATION from the drop-down menu.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, navigate to Settings > System > Administration.

Click Users or Teams. 2.

Select a user/team. 3.

If using Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, click MORE COMMANDS ( ) button, and then select 4.Manage Roles from the drop-down menu.

Select the AvePoint Pipeline Pro User Account checkbox or other role’s checkbox as desired. 6.

Click OK to save changes. 7.

Click Administration on the ribbon. 8.

Click Security Roles. The Security Roles page appears. 9.
