Purpose: ACE events offer DOI bureaus and USFS employees, who funcon in aviaon specific posions or possess aviaon management dues and responsibilies, with required aviaon safety educaon and training to ensure we use aviaon safely and effecvely. The ACE format provides employees flexibility to aend only those classes that are relevant/required for their respecve aviaon posion(s) or responsibilies. Most important, it provides field units with qualified, trained employees ready to support agency operaons. Posions: Combined with online and other interacve methods, ACE provides coursework that fulfills aviaon safety training requirements set by the USDA Forest Service and Department of the Interior for various aviaon posions. Posion specific required courses can be found in the following pages. Example Schedules: Example schedules are shown for those individuals who wish to maximize their training during the week of ACE. Informaon provided below includes required courses per posion; highlighted courses are offered at ACE, (otherwise the course is offered online through the IAT website); date, me, and room designaons at the ACE locaon.
