A Magical Mystery Tour with JENNIFER HOUGH
July 4 - 11, 2012 - Trip Planner
Hi there SOUL Family!! We hope this letter finds you
dreaming about the magic that awaits us in Ireland.
So much is shifting right now in our world....for me
personally, I am seeing friends and family go through
shifts with their relationships, career, finances and even
with health. Are you finding that in your life? The call to
find more flow, fun, ease and clarity on what's next....and
the ability to transcend the judgment and being in our heads is just right in the forefront. What better way to
play with all these shifts than together in magical Ireland.
The trip starts when you commit to coming. For many, this happens when you pay your deposit. At the point
that you commit, you’ve consciously joined the pool of energy we’re all co-creating; us, the mythical land, our
guides and angels and other magnificent beings of light.

Preparing for the Journey
The trip starts when you commit to coming. For many, this happens when you pay your deposit. At the point
that you commit, you’ve consciously (or unconsciously – but it’s no longer unconscious now!) joined the pool
of energy we’re all co-creating; us, our guides and angels and other magnificent beings of light. We
encourage you to invite your angels and guides into your thoughts, dreams and meditations!
The Journey - We wanted to set the energy for the 8 days we have together……….make sure you read and
feel this email. It is fun to create the space for this magical experience together.
What do you mean by ‘Flow’? - Well, one of the things about being in the flow is this: we have a flexible
schedule, because often our higher levels call us to do something different than we planned. Sometimes it’s
getting up and watching a sunrise, sometimes it’s going out at a different time than usual, sometimes it’s
having a very long meditation and sometimes it’s none at all. This trip is all about trusting the process, and
allowing yourself to have preferences, but let go of your ego and judgments. It’s about being of assistance to
each other……and honouring yourself. It is very fun……….and might be different from what you’re used to!
(Especially if you’re used to being the general manager of the Universe)
Our Accommodations – We will be staying in a hostel for our first two nights and several quaint Bed &
Breakfasts in and around Ireland. Accommodations are small and cozy. They are friendly & simple. They are
perfect. Please remember to pack light and pack layers including wet weather items, if required!
Are you starting to get the idea that this trip is about flowing with all that life has to offer, effortlessly….and in
joy? Yep, that’s certainly part of it….and so much more. Be open to some great moments of Awakening.
Looking forward to a magical experience. If after reading the
attached information, you still have questions, feel free to call
or email us. We’re excited you're joining us!
With so much Love,
Jennifer & The Vital You team
Trip Itinerary
Magical Mystery Tour with Jennifer Hough - July 4-11, 2012
This adventure is a magical experience of the sacred Celtic and Druid
energies, we will be meeting with the locals, hugging the trees, standing atop
towering cliffs, meeting the leprechauns, communing with the earth, going
to church (and it’s not what you think), and experiencing the Goddess within.
If you are called to this trip, it’s because the Feminine energies are being
asked to re-integrate with the planet and humanity…..and that’s the journey
we will all be a part of…..becoming whole and complete and dancing with life embracing our freedom.
Day 1 – July 4 (B,L) ~ We meet at Dublin Airport at 11am on the morning of July 4 – Terminal 2 “Meeting
Point” (2nd floor – there will be a whole bunch of seats together) – Jennifer, Jeannie and Eugene will be there
to greet your arrival on this magical journey!! From the airport, we head over to the ancient Piper Stones in
County Wicklow. We stop here to set the energies of our adventure together and enjoy a picnic lunch. From
the Piper Stones, we head to the beautiful County Glendalough to get settled into our modest home away
from home for the next 2 days. Once we get to Glendalough, we will get settled and take a magical hike
around this beautiful Glen of Two Lakes with a ceremony of mead with our shaman guide Eugene.
There was a time in Ireland when the government was repressive, groups were
not permitted to congregate, so dancing wasn't permitted, Catholics were
prohibited from attending mass or to teach school, citizens could not meet
anywhere sponsored by the English, a man could be hung for being out of their
house after curfew. But the Irish young people, rebels at heart, met to dance at
lonely crossroads. In the legend of the Piper Stones the young people were
similarly prohibited from dancing, but they did it anyway. On a hill outside of the village with pipers and
harpers in tow, the young people danced. Legend states that once they started to dance they could not stop.
On and on they danced, the pipers played faster and faster until they collapsed to the ground in exhaustion
where they turned to stone.
Day 2 – July 5 (B) ~We start this incredible day with a hearty Irish breakfast together. From Glendalough, we
head to the beautiful fairy forest near County Wicklow where we will gather together and make our fairy
wands! Fairies and divas surround us everywhere in this mystical forest. From the fairy
forest, we head to the base of Seefin Mountain where we start our expansive hike to the
top. We end this powerful day returning back to Glendalough.
Seefin Mountain hosts dramatic remains from Ireland's early history. Ancient stone tombs
buried under giant mounds of loose rock are found at the top of this powerful place.
These tombs are ancient, up to 5,000 years old. They date back to a time when people
began to give up hunting and gathering for food in the woodlands and coasts and settled down to live in
farming communities. At this time people made their tools and weapons from stone; they also used stone to
build tombs for their dead. These tombs were built with very large slabs of stone using manpower alone, and
were often buried under giant mounds of loose rock known as cairns.
Day 3 – July 6 (B) ~ We start this incredible day with another hearty Irish breakfast together…our last
breakfast in Glendalough. From Glendalough, we will head over to the geographical centre of Ireland to a
magical place called Uisneach (pronounced Ooshnick). Uisneach is the place where the flame of knowledge
was lit, and all spiritual leaders would travel here to obtain the answers they sought. From here we integrate
the Goddess circle and we break for a picnic lunch and travel around this magical place! From Uisneach, we
drive to Eugene’s beautiful hometown of County Leitrum where we settle into our beautiful B&B for two
nights. We visit Eugene’s home and the future location of “The Call of The Red Dragon” where Eugene
educates us on his vision for the Red Dragon Center.
Uisneach is where the Summer fires were kindled. This celebration site was
particularly important not only because it marked the end of Winter and the beginning
of Summer, but because it was a celebration of life. Winters were very rough and
many died. Those who survived winter’s grip celebrated the powers of growth and light
because the powers of darkness and death had successfully been defeated. Tradition
records how two fires were lit on the hill and cattle were driven through the flames to
ward off evil influences for the coming year and ensure prosperity. Uisneach was
considered to be the center of Ireland where the other 4 provinces meet. A large stone known as the
“catstone” is said to mark the exact spot. Nothing much remains of this site other than several earth works on
the hill, which includes burial monuments and a fort.
Day 4– July 7 (B,D) ~ Another hearty breakfast together at our B&B, we head over to the future location of
the “Call of the Red Dragon Centre” where we spend the day planting some trees and creating a beautiful
spiral sanctuary garden… filling this land with love and promise for all the young ones in Ireland. Please bring
a pair of gardening gloves! We finish this expansive day with a delicious, authentic catered Irish dinner in
Eugene’s abode…on us.
The Call of the Red Dragon is the vision and calling of our Shaman guide,
Eugene O’Halloran.
This future youth center aims to expand, encourage and support the minds and
hearts of the young people in Ireland . The Call of the Red Dragon Centre hopes to
guide our young people in obtaining relevant training, resources and information
that will enable them to play a more active role in society and in there future.
Day 5 – July 8 (B) Today we pack up and head out of Country Leitrum to head North towards County
Donegal. First stop, the beautiful County of Fermenagh where we visit an ancient stone circle and a visit to
the Shile & Sid – a place where masculine and feminine energies entwine. After dinner, we drive to the
breathtaking Sleive league Cliffs. The highest cliffs in all of Ireland.
Mysterious complex of 7 Bronze Age stone circles and alignments. It's
where megalithic tombs and the mysterious Beaghmore stone circles
stand as silent witnesses to the settlements that thrived here 6,000
years ago. Discovered during peat cutting in the 1940s the site at
Beaghmore consists of 7 stone circles. All of the rings are associated
with cairns and a stone row runs towards these cairns. It is possible
that Neolithic occupation and cultivation preceded the erection of burial cairns and ceremonial circles and
alignments: some irregular lines and heaps of boulders resembling field-fences or field-clearance may
predate the ritual structures. At some stage peat started to form over the site, and it may conceivably be that
the cairns and rows were erected in a futile propitiatory attempt to restore fertility to the soil by attracting back
the fading sun.
Day 6- July 9 (B) ~ Our second day in County Donegal takes us to along the beautiful coast towards
Letterkenny. Here we visit some of the most beautiful golden sand beaches in Ireland! Bring your bathing
suit, you might want to take a dip!
Day 7 – July 10 (B,D) ~ From County Donegal, we head to
Dublin where we visit the mystical place of Newgrange and
the Hill of Tara. From here, we check into our bed & breakfast
in Newgrange and prepare for our journey back home the next
morning. Tonight, we celebrate this incredible journey with our
final dinner together.
The Hill of Tara, known as Temair in gaeilge, was once the
ancient seat of power in Ireland – 142 kings are said to have
reigned there in prehistoric and historic times. In ancient Irish religion and mythology. Tara was the sacred
place of dwelling for the gods, and was the entrance to the otherworld. Saint Patrick is said to have come to
Tara to confront the ancient religion of the pagans at its most powerful site.
Newgrange was constructed over 5,000 years ago (about 3,200 B.C.), making it older than Stonehenge in
England and the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. Newgrange was built during the Neolithic or New Stone
Age by a farming community that prospered on the rich lands of the Boyne Valley. Archaeologists classified
Newgrange as a passage tomb, however Newgrange is now recognised to be much more than a passage
tomb, a place of astrological, spiritual, religious and ceremonial importance, much as present day cathedrals
are places of prestige and worship where dignitaries may be laid to rest.
Day 8 – July 11 Good bye hugs all around. Shuttle / Drive back to Dublin
Airport for your flight home! We will be driving everyone back to the
airport in the morning. Please make sure you email Jeannie with your
arrival and departure times. (B)

English. English is spoken throughout the country.

✔ The country is famous for the Mythical Blarney Stone which tourists flock to kiss, the Great Famine in
1845-1849 where potato blight struck all crops, The Giant Causeway, where 40,000 basalt columns

clockwise. (Mysterious energy???)

Travel and Packing Tips
➔ Before the journey, try to rest up as much as possible and try not to stress yourself out by leaving
everything until the last minute. (I know this is easier said than done!) A very helpful tool to counteract
jetlag is a homeopathic remedy called "No Jet Lag" It is highly recommended and is available at many
health food stores and travel shops.
➔ The weather in Ireland in the summer is usually temperate (between 15 and 20 degrees Celcius. but
can be unpredictable and rain showers are not uncommon. Saying that, the last 3 summers have
been unseasonably wet! Hopefully we’ll be back to our usual pleasant warm and sunny summer after
our own particularly wet spring. There’s a website where you can get a 10 day forecast so you’ll get
some idea before you pack. To check this out, you can go to http://uk.weather.yahoo.com/
➔ Bring a lightweight rain jacket or poncho (or something similar, often available quite cheaply at chain
stores), and an extra pair of shoes (one pair of your shoes should be comfortable walking shoes). It’s
best to bring clothing you can layer in case it gets chilly, so t-shirts, shirts etc. and a sweater or sweat
shirt just in case you need one is a good idea, as the daytime is often warm and beautiful, but the
nights can be quite cool (and especially on a night watch it can be quite cold). Casual wear is the
norm – we won't be going anywhere fancy. Just bring whatever you feel comfortable in
➔ Bring a camera and accessories - there will be some wonderful photo opportunities.
➔ Please bring a flashlight for our night watch!
➔ It’s also a good idea to bring a travel alarm clock or similar for the very occasional morning when we
may have to be out somewhere early.
➔ Regarding money; there are Cash Points/ATM machines in the towns
➔ Extra cash for shopping , meals and tips
➔ Current passport
➔ Backpack
➔ Sun protection *sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
➔ Personal toiletries
➔ Favourite snack foods
Important!! Luggage space is limited, so please plan accordingly. You are allowed 1 piece of luggage
and a day pack (or similar). Please make sure you can carry your case yourself – there may be stairs
to climb and no porters. And please don’t forget to allow extra space for any purchases you acquire
on the trip!
And be sure to bring your Enthusiasm, your playful Intention and your sense of Adventure!
