WALNEY – DONG ENERGY POWER UK LTD Overview The Client is responsible for lifting equipment on two Offshore Substations (OSS) at Walney 1 and 2 Offshore Wind Farms. A third party survey had considered all items to be unfit for service and had quarantined them. Axiom were tasked initially with fault finding and then with executing suitable maintenance and repair to bring all items back into service. A later mobilisation was used to provide an assessment of platform coating condition.

DEEP SEA METRO 1 – OPHIR ENERGY PLC Overview Axiom assisted Ophir Energy Plc with demobilisation of equipment from Odfjells Deep Sea Metro 1 drillship at the end of their 2014 drilling campaign, offshore Tanzania. The project culminated in a 12 day mobilisation utilising 10 POB across day and nightshifts, with all works completed safely and on schedule.

Site Execution The site team included a rope access capability and comprised a Project Manager, LOLER Focal Point, Riggers, Welder / Platers, Mechanical Fitters and Electricians. Axiom provided all project equipment

TOTAL HOOK UPS – ROSSETTI MARINO UK LTD Axiom were pleased to support client Rosetti Marino during the hook up phases of the new Total West Franklin and Elgin B jackets during 2013 and 2014. ‘Around the clock’ inspection services were provided including: Ultrasonic Testing (UT) of Superduplex Close Visual Inspection (CVI) Magnetic Particle (MPI)and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) Positive Material Identification (PMI) Hardness Testing, Radiography and internal root CCTV surveys . CONTRACT SUPPORT – CONOCOPHILLIPS UK LTD Axiom supplied a back to back rotation to the Judy Platform during 2012/13 to support the incumbent inspection body with additional rope access NDT capability during a fabric maintenance corrosion assessment campaign.

The requirement was for a two person rope access team, with back to backs, one of whom needed to be an IRATA III Rope Access Supervisor, with both qualified to PCN II standard in Ultrasonic Thickness checking.

EMEC – OPENHYDRO LTD Overview The Client operates a test tidal turbine (shown left raised above water for inspection) at the EMEC site, offshore Orkney. Modifications are planned and Axiom was tasked to complete a full Topside Structural Inspection. Use of rope access avoided the originally planned scaffolding and works in this remote location were successfully completed during a tight weather window using a small multi-disciplined team.

The survey included: Close Visual Inspection of the full structure

NDT of all critical welds using ECI followed by MPI

Wall thickness measurements of steel work (UT)

Coating condition assessment

Quality control of site welding

NEXEN SCOTT – KCA DEUTAG DRILLING LTD Overview Axiom provided a full package of support services to the Scott rig reactivation project Works spanned two years from 2013 – 15 and were brought to a close by a two week period of 24 hour working with 13 POB No incident or accidents were sustained

TOTAL ELGIN – TOTAL E&P UK LTD Overview Working directly for the Operator (Total E&P UK Ltd), Axiom provided multi-disciplined rope access NDT teams to execute Annual Structural Topside Inspection of the Elgin and Franklin assets between 2010 – 12, culminating in the inspection of the Elgin PUQ Flare Stack.

Detection of Fatigue Cracking through Conductive Coatings For this project, Axiom developed an Eddy Current procedure that enabled testing to be carried out through Thermal Sprayed Aluminium (TSA) – the first time that this has been done.

Fully approved by Total E&P (UK) Ltd, this technique enabled the inspection to be done in a relatively short period of time and more importantly avoided damage to the existing coating.

The same technique has now been successfully used for inspection of risers and a similar approach has enabled us to test through galvanised coatings – ideal for rapid inspection of critical load path items (pad-eyes etc) on offshore drilling derricks.

TOTAL DUNBAR Overview Working for both the Operator (Total E&P UK Ltd) and Drilling Contractor (KCA Deutag Drilling Ltd), Axiom provided a full package of support services to the 2015 Dunbar shutdown Works were completed by a 6 person rope access team within a very tight schedule
