The Axopar 28 AC features a fully enclosable cabin that is spacious, bright and comfortable and introduces a large sliding canvas roof, the first of its kind in this boat segment. Verbindet man die Anfangsbuchstaben der preis-gekrönten finnischen Bootsmarken Aquador, XO Boats und Paragon Yachts, so entsteht der Name «Axopar»: eine neue Marke, eine neue finnische Firma, ein neues Schiff. Die Axopar 28 ist das Werk jener erfolgreichen Schiffskonstrukteure, deren Handschrift die eingangs erwähnten drei Marken prägt. Mit der Axopar 28 wagten sie eine Synthese aus den besten Elementen dreier Welten. Sie ist, so-viel vorab, vollumfänglich gelungen.
Harte Schale, bequemer KernPerfektes Timing beim Testtermin, die Sonne scheint. Mit guter Beschleunigung erreichen wir die Gleit-grenze, überqueren sie und fliegen – in der Kabine
bleibts dabei nahezu geräuschlos – mit 60 km/h übers flache Wasser. Für dieses Boot eine angenehme Cruising-Geschwindigkeit! Jetzt Vollgas, der 300-PS- Verado-Aussenborder entwickelt kräftig Schub: 80 km/h. Auf dem Wasser fühlt sich das sehr schnell an. Wir fahren Kurven und suchen Wellen, kreuzen unsere eigenen und jene hohen, langen Kämme, die Kursschiffe erzeugen. Die Axopar hält Kurs, wie auf Schienen. Nie ist die geringste Verunsicherung zu spüren. Zugleich folgt das Boot kleinsten Steuer-impulsen – es ist eine wahre Freude. Dieses Fahr-verhalten, das bei jeder Geschwindigkeit sicher und vertrauenerweckend ist, lässt sich mit einem Wort beschreiben: exzellent. Die hervorragend gute Rund-sicht in der Kabine – das gilt ebenso fürs Modell T-Top – und die bequeme Sitzausstattung tragen zum Fahrspass bei, den primär das Design des Rumpfes ermöglicht: V-förmig, drei Kimmkanten, zwei Airsteps. Was die Rumpfform insgesamt inspi-rierte, ist von Aussen gesehen deutlich erkennbar: das RIB. Der Axopar-28-Rumpf mit seiner Steifheit und dem tief ausgeschnittenen V, der beidseitig oben

Design, Konzept, Verarbeitung
Drei Versionen gibt es, die sich aber lediglich in der Art des Aufbaus un-
terscheiden: Als „T-Top“ oder „Hard-Top“, bzw. lassen diesen als
„Open“ natürlich ganz weg. Das Layout hingegen ist immer dasselbe:
Der Bowrider mit Plicht und Fahrstand achtern und Mitteldurchgang
vom Cockpit aus, verfügt zudem über zwei Sofas, die im Mittelschiff
angeordnet sind und mit mittlerer Einlage als Sonnenliege oder auch
als Koje zum Verweilen an Bord über Nacht genutzt werden können.
Spätestens mit dem optionalen Camper-Verdeck hat sich der sportliche
Daycruiser zum Overnighter gemausert. Das ermöglicht es z.B. bei un-
serer T-Top, das Boot vorne zur Frontscheibe hin und nach achtern über
die Plicht und Cockpit zu einer gar nicht so kleinen „Kabine“ umzuge-
stalten.
Zusätzlichen rudimentären Camping-Komfort bieten ein kleines
Waschbecken in der Konsole vor dem Beifahrersitz und ein 45 Liter fas-
sender Frischwasser-Tank sowie eine optionale Kühlbox. Jetzt noch ein
Camping-Kocher für den morgendlichen Kaffee mitgebracht, und das
Frühstück in der Ankerbucht ist gesichert. Eine ausziehbare, optionale
Pumptoilette unter dem vorderen Plichtboden – hier sollte ein Hand-
griff nachgerüstet werden— kann immerhin als „Not-Klo“ dienen. Die
vordere L-Sitzgruppe kann per optional erhältlicher Polstereinlagen
Eine kernige Optik mit klarer Linie, derselbe scharfe, kantige Steven, ein breites Heck, das Ganze ebenüber einen Meter kürzer, dafür aber mit etwas mehr Freibord – die neue Axopar 24 wirkt neben dererfolgreichen 28 Fuß-Schwester oder gar der großen Axopar 37 wie ein freches Pony neben Rennpferden.Doch die „Kleine“ soll den Erfolg der preisgekrönten Axopar 28 bei all denen fortsetzen, die einvielseitiges, sportliches Trailer-Boot mit guten Fahreigenschaften auch bei Rauwasser zu einemkonkurrenzfähigen Preis suchen. Die Zusatz-Ausstattungsliste ist übersichtlich, umfasst aber diverse
sinnvolle Pakete, um die – ebenfalls Axopar-typisch – sehr nackte Ba-
sisversion zu komplettieren.
Pilot und Co-Pilot finden aufgrund der beiden mittig platzierten
Kojen erst im hinteren Teil des Bootes ihren Sitzplatz. Das mutet von
außen gesehen erstmal merkwürdig an, ist in der Praxis der Übersicht
nach vorne hin aber nicht abträglich. Im Gegenteil: Der Skipper hat
alles im Blick und die Rundumsicht ist auf unserem Testboot mit T-Top
Dach vom Fahrstand aus gut.
Auch hinsichtlich der Bauqualität passt es. Ein paar Nachbesserun-
gen im Detail sind beim Serienstart einer neuen Modellreihe i.d.R.
nicht zu vermeiden und Axopar-Händler und Geschäftsführer der
Firma Nautic-Yachting in Neustadt i.H., Daniel Goertz, dokumentiert
Verbesserungsvorschläge und gibt der Werft ein entsprechendes Feed-
back. Auch für ihn ist es die erste Fahrt mit dem werftneuen Boot, das
erst am Tag zuvor geliefert wurde.
Vor der E-Schalttafel im Fußraum achtern sollte eine stabile Ab-
deckung montiert werden, ansonsten ist ein Schaden durch einen un-
beabsichtigten Fußtritt eines Beifahrers oder durch Schwallwasser nur
eine Frage der Zeit. Überzeugen können hingegen die soliden Beschlä-
ge und Handgriffe an allen wichtigen Stellen, Gasdruckaufsteller und
Dichtungen an den Luken-Deckeln, große Lenzer in der Plicht und die
Möglichkeit, einen Cockpittisch in der Plicht und in der Bugsektion
stabil zu installieren. Die haptisch sehr schönen und solide wirkenden
Polster in frischem orange peppen den weißen GFK-Look farblich auf,
alternativ gibt’s sandfarbene oder graue Bezüge.
PU-Schäume in den Hohlräumen von Deck und Rumpf des Bootes
sollen die Schwimmfähigkeit des Zwei-Stufen Gleiter-Rumpfes mit
scharfem V-Spant – dem sog. „soft entry hull“ – auch im vollgeschla-
genen Zustand garantieren. Die GFK-Arbeiten machen einen sehr sau-
beren Eindruck, und wer einen Blick in Anker- oder Staukästen wirft,
entdeckt vorbildlich mit Topcoat versiegelte Oberflächen. Die äußere
Laminatschicht aus Osmose-resistentem Vinylesterharz gibt hier Si-
cherheit und Wertbeständigkeit. Mit ca. 1600 kg Gewicht inkl. Motor
bei 7,6 Metern Länge (ohne Motor) und 2,55 Metern Breite passt die
Fuhre auf den Trailer eines kräftigen Mittelklasse-Zug fahrzeuges.
Fahreigenschaften
Unsere Test-Axopar kann aus dem Vollen schöpfen: Ein Mercury Ver-
ado mit 147 kw (200 PS) ziert das Heck und entspricht der von der Werft
empfohlenen Maximal-Motorisierung. Nach dem Start rappelt der
Vierzylinder an diesem kalten April-
Morgen erstmal in rauer Tonlage los.
Die wird aber mit zunehmender Be-
triebstemperatur und steigender Dreh-
zahl weicher im Sound und bei Marsch-
fahrt ertönt von achtern lediglich ein
kraftvolles, sonores Brummen.
Mit stoischer Spurtreue geht’s mit
gut sechs Knoten Fahrt und einem Ver-
brauch von weniger als einem Liter Sprit
pro Meile das Neustädter Fahrwasser in
Richtung Ostsee hinaus. Wer es liebt,
auch mal ganz gelassen durch schöne
Landschaften zu traben und die Hektik
an Land lassen will: Bitte schön – hohe
PS-Zahlen am Heck verpflichten zu nichts und die Axopar fühlt sich
auch bei diesem Tempo gut an.
„Ich ahne, dass die 19er Steigung etwas zu groß ist“, so Daniel Go-
ertz zur Wahl des ersten Propellers auf Empfehlung durch den Moto-
renhersteller. Das bestätigt sich während der ersten Testfahrt: Der
Motor kommt nur zäh auf Drehzahl, die Beschleunigung könnte bes-
ser sein, die Maximaldrehzahl liegt 400 U/min unter der minimalen,
herstellerseitig angegebenen Nenndrehzahl von 5800 Touren. Zudem
zieht der Prop in enger gefahrenen Kurven schnell Luft. Da geht noch
mehr.
Nach dem Wechsel auf einen Prop mit 17er Pitch, ändert sich das
Bild: Mit knapp 39 Knoten Top-Speed sind die Grenzen nautischer
Bummelei deutlich geknackt und der Verado dreht dabei mit 5950 Tou-
ren brav im Nenndrehzahlbereich. Auch der Durchzug passt jetzt: Gibt
man der Axopar die Sporen galoppiert sie mit einem Antritt los wie ein
Quarter-Horse auf der berühmten Viertel-Meilen-Renndistanz. Wer es
