    DAILY CONSTRUCTION REPORT

    Atlantic YardsB2ESD

    6717 Sunny

    Tower Crane -  Active.

Module Transportation - 3 mods brought during the day to add to 2 already in MPT that were brought 1-1/2 weeks ago.

      71/852114659

    Summary of Construction Activities

      Slight

Module Installation - 5 mods installed. Completion % rose to 31.9% from 31.4% - 297 out of 930 mods installed in 171 work days sincemod installation began = an avg. of 1.7 mods per day. 10th floor now complete.

      0"

Module Fabrication - Ongoing at Navy Yard, presumably working on 11th and 12th floor mods with a workforce in the low 160's.

MEP - Some minor work left in main electrical switching room and then will be ready for Con Ed to turn on permanent power - waiting for agreater power load in building before Con Ed will allow use of permanent power.

Other - Hoist is in operation to 5th floor.

    Additional New Observations:

    New Information received:

Requested warranty duration for façade of FCR on 7/16. Will look up in specs.

On 6/6/14 sent pictures of installed/discolored dry wall cross sections to Skanska to ask whether mold may be suspected. No response to

    date.

Information previously requested: Read Skanska ec's report no. 2, sent by FCR on 6/17. In 6/19 email response to FCR's SS, whosent the 2nd report by Skanska's environmental consultant, asked whether any type of air monitoring can take place to measure potentially

high mold spore counts in a unit where any mold is not vis ble, i.e in upper or inner layer of wallboard in ceiling/wall. Cited leak day on 6/13,

after e.c's most recent site visit, when subsequent leak damage was not that evident. On 7/16 sent FCR's Scott Stutman a 2nd request for

response to 6/19/14 STV questions concerning leaks/mold remediation/testing.

    Information to be requested:

Tolerances for doors between side panels are 1-1/4" to 2-1/4". Several doors on south and east facades out of tolerance and won't close.

Water penetration not an issue as gaskets behind them determine whether water penetrating or not - not seen as a water leak problem.

Doors on east side wired open so won't blow/bang in the wind.

7/29 - Informed that mods won't resume until Sept. 15. Want to fill the yard outside of Bldg 292 at the Navy Yard before resume bringing

    them over.

7/31 - Waiting for approval by DOB of crane permit amendments for jumping crane (which won't do until shortly before mod installation

recommences) and tieing in crane to building at 8th floor.

Previous Information received: 7/31 - Will be bringing in hanging scaffold soon to fix flap doors on façades. As of 8/11 no scaffold.

    On 5/1/14

    New Information requested:

7/15 - New 3rd worst water leaks, especially affecting the 7th floor even though 1-2 floors below the top of the bldg. 7/3/14 - 3rd biggest water

leaks in center and west of building. Skanska/MG McGrath totally at a loss as to cause.

    Special instruction(s) given:

Materials Delivered other than Mods (Observed)Equip. Arr./ Departure-Observed

Major Equipment on site (I = Inactive)

Manpower figure is rough approximation by STV.

Previous observations: Front façade is now less than 33-35' from the ped wakway due to the 6th floor Dean St. transfer beam facadeprotruding 1-2' closer to the street than the 1st-5th floor facade. Flatbush façade is 12' from the edge of the sidewalk shed. Height exceeds

2 X the distance between the building and the ped crosswa k at Flatbush across Dean.

10/16/13 - At Navy Yard FCR stated that first mods would arrive on site in late December/early January and that there would be a backlog of

30-40 (1-2 floors worth) to 80 (3 floors worth) mods completed at that time which it was felt would be sufficient for production to keep ahead

of erection so there would be no downtime during mod erection at the B2 site.

3/21 - Paper documenting DOB's approval (signed 2/2/14) of no sidewa k shed on Dean received.

4/8 - Jury is still out on gaskets which may be under increasing stress under weight of additional floors.

Allowable gasket tolerances: up to 1/2" out of allignment - otherwise warranty is void. Also, if too close, less than 1+1/8" from gasket plate to

adjoining gasket plate or more than 2+1/8" between plates then warranty void. Joel caulks the 'crucifix', where 4 mods meet, to seal any

    openings.

response to 6/19/14 STV questions concerning leaks/mold remediation/testing. On 8/13, sent 3rd request.

As of 8/14 no scaffold.

    On 5/1/14

7/15 - New 3rd worst water leaks, especially affecting the 7th floor even though 1-2 floors below the top of the bldg. 7/3/14 - 3rd biggest water

leaks in center and west of building. Skanska/MG McGrath totally at a loss as to cause.

    12/12

      STV Construction, Inc.

    Manpower on Site 20-25

    Navillus

    Stearns

    J Supor Trucking

    MEP trades 15-20

    Other 5-10

    Potain Tower Crane (I)

Contract changes, claims, deficiencies, RFI's, RFP's reported to STV by FCR: None

Joel caulks the 'crucifix', where 4 mods meet, to seal any

    openings.
