Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law. Psalm 119:18
As we prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day, may we all remember
our mothers and all they have sacrificed for us. In the fifth commandment God tells us to honor our fathers and mothers. Let’s all be thankful for all of the love and care that they have invested in our lives. We would not be the men and women we are today without their guidance. A Godly mother teaches her children about the Bible and how God wants us to live our lives. She leads by example. Let’s praise God for them!
The National Day of Prayer is May 7th
and the theme this year is to pray God’s glory across the earth. “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14 NIV Let’s all pray that the earth will be filled with the glory of the LORD. What a wonderful day that will be, when the LORD’s glory fills all the earth! Hallelujah! Let’s pray for our nation, our leaders, our state, our city and our community. Let’s pray for the medical personnel who are risking their lives daily to bring healing to the sick and hurting. The corona virus has impacted our world, but through our prayers God will work to heal our nation and our world. He is truly able!
On Monday, May 25, 2020, we will celebrate Memorial Day and all of our men and women who have given their all for God and country. Let’s remember them and all of those men and women who serve today. Let’s pray for their safety and that each and every one of them will know Jesus as Savior; that they will have the peace and comfort that only a re-lationship with our Savior can give them. Let’s pray that they will draw strength from Him.
