Every human body is prone for diseases of variousnature. The types of diseases depend upon one'sKarma i.e. one's past deeds in the previous births.Hindus believe that the law of karma is responsibleto attribute diseases, from time immemorialdepending on whether the karmic effect is Sanchitaor Prarabdha.The cumulative effects of good or bad deeds inthe past births is felt in this birth in the form of goodor bad health which is essential for a man's enjoyingand suffering of life. 2. HUMAN BODY AND PLANETSAstrologically, the human body is calledmicrocosmos (Pindanda) and possesses all the tatwaspresent in the macrocosmos known asBramhand.

The macrocosmos consisting of entire cosmos isencompassed withpancha bhootas namely Akasha,Vayu, Agni, Aapa and Prithvi {Ether, Air, Fire, Waterand Earth respectively}. The different planets namelyJupiter, Saturn, Sun and Mars, Moon and Venus andMercury are also assigned different tatwas out of thefive as given above respectively. It is mentioned in Srimad bhagavatam Puranan,that the lord supreme from his maya created his bodyin three ways. In that one having(11Indriyas)

Ekadasha Indriyas and each of these indriyas is

assigned with Abhimana devatas and hence the God'sbody became Adi Daivika sharira. Secondly, thejeeva

is called adyatma and thirdly the pancha bhoota as

'Adhi Bhoota'. The supreme lord created power withinhim to give indriya shakti (sensual strength, mentalstrength and physical strength) and Deva Shakti.Then ultimately, the universal prana called the Maha

prana as Sutratma came to existence. Then all theindriyas (senses) started their operations or functionsin perfect obedience like a faithful servant followingthe master. When once this Maha prana gets out, thefunctions of senses are stopped. It is on this basis theMedical Astrology 21

supreme lord, the God is considered as the drivingforce or Chaitanya Shakti in all the living beings.Upanishad says:
