BE FRAJNDLICH
When those tWo planes struck the tWin toWers on september 11, 2001, less than 300 meters from the buildinG in Which i lived With my family, i could not help but take the event more than just a little bit personally. this Wasmy neiGhborhood, not just my country, and from that day forWard, it Would never quite be the same.
i had been GravitatinG to those remarkable toWers like to tWin maGnets, since i arrived in toWn in october of 1984. a feW of my most memorable photoGraphs of those iconic buildinGs Were made in the first Week that i lived in this city and i have continued GoinG back to that site, even after the toWers Were no lonGer there.
these photoGraphs are a personal journal of a relationship to those toWers, before, durinG and noW after that pivotal moment in both american and my personal history.
