A R C H A N G E L Whether for morning coffee with delicious cakes and croissants, or a

lighter bite and a pint of real ale at lunchtime, or a fabulous cocktail on a

Friday evening, the Bar at the Archangel is perfect for all occasions.

At the Archangel we are passionate about serving good drinks and, harking

back to our heritage as a coaching inn, we take our real ale very seriously.

We are accredited by the independent organisation Cask Marque which is a

reflection not just on the quality real ales that we sell but more importantly

on how we look after them.

Popular throughout the week but especially at the weekends, our seasonal

cocktail menus are always a crowd favourite. Each one is developed &

tested by our experienced team and we blend some of the classics with

lesser known concoctions to tempt you with something new.

Our wine list is an excellent mix of selected new world and old. Whatever

your taste, we are sure to have a bottle to suit every palette. For those truly

special occasions we also carry Champagne from Billecart-Salmon, one of

the few remaining family-owned champagne houses whom have been

making renowned champagnes since 1818.

“Tiramisu Martini” – Finandia, Crème de Cacao, Baileys, Kahlua Why we like it: A dessert in a glass. If you cannot manage a dessert then this is ideal.

Wine of the moment

Martín Códax, Albariño, Rías Baixas, 2013, Spain

Why we like it: A light, fresh and youthful wine, with a zesty and well defined citrus

backbone, overlaid with subtle hints of stone fruits and nectar. Crisp and refreshing, yet

rounded and enduring on the finish.

Enjoy with: Drink with mussels and other shellfish, or all simple fish dishes such as

grilled cod.
