A Wider Literacy 10 Years On

A Wider Literacy

Northern Ireland Screen is providing a range of learning opportunities so that growing numbers of people, especially young people, in Northern Ireland can enjoy, understand and explore the world of film and moving image

The amount of media, the amount of moving image that we consume every day is so vast, that without having any sort of apparatus to

consume it, and to understand it, and to read it, we are really disadvantaged. I think it’s vitally important to remember that how to

read moving images is the right, and the prerogative, and the privilege of every citizen.
