BOAMBEE BULLETIN 7th December, 2018 Term 4, Week 8 Phone 6653 1107 ‘Achievement through Effort’ Fax 6658 2543 E-mail [email protected] BPS online www.boambee-p.schools.nsw.edu.au “Teachers plant seeds that grow forever!” Principal’s Report This will be the final newsletter of 2018 - can you believe that?! What an amazing year it has been. I would like to thank all of the staff, students, parents and community members for working together for the success of our students. There have been some major achievements across all facets of our school and I couldn’t be prouder! We will be recognising some students at our Presentation Day for their achievements this year and we look forward to celebrating their success with family and friends. There will be a massive surprise from our P&C at the Presentation Day Ceremony and you’re sure to be blown away with what’s happening - stay tuned! Last week, our Kindergarten students participated in their Graduation Assembly, in front of our entire school and many parents, grandparents and friends. What an amazing performance they put together and thank you to our wonderful Kindergarten teachers for making it so successful - to Mrs Lang, Mrs Davis, Mrs Wigg and Mrs Grant, we thank you! Today was our last Whole School Assembly and it was appropriate that we handed out PBL awards to students who have demonstrated our school values of being Safe, Respectful, Learners this term. It’s fitting to finish with a PBL Assembly and oh my goodness what a fantastic PBL pop-up day we had last Thursday! We had 9 inflatables and pony cycles that all students were able to use as a reward for getting in excess of 5500 positive entries in Semester 2 for being Safe, Respectful, Learners across our school. Our PBL team has been amazing this year and has been led by Mr Schultz - well done to everyone involved! It is with great pleasure that we announce our elected school leaders for 2019 in this week’s newsletter. I was very proud of all students who put themselves forward to be considered and the children are to be congratulated for preparing and delivering concise, confident speeches. I’m looking forward to working with all elected leaders in 2019. As this is the last Newsletter for 2018, can I pass my sincere thanks to you all, our school community, for supporting us in our relentless quest to develop your children to be the best they can possibly be. We can only do that with your support and I am forever grateful that we work together to ensure your child receives the best possible education they can. I’m looking forward to having morning tea with all of our parent helpers on Tuesday morning as a small token of thanks for your support. From all of us at Boambee, we hope you all have a safe and Merry Christmas! Brad Lyne - Principal Helpers Morning Tea In appreciation of your valued contribution in assisting the staff and students of Boambee Public School during 2018, you are cordially invited to attend a special morning tea for volunteer helpers on Tuesday, 11th December 2018 at 11am in the Boambee Public School Staffroom.
