1. Front Bow Tie Emblem Replacement. Read all instructions before performing procedure. 2. Inspect kit to verify all parts are included.

3. Turn off the vehicle.

4. Open the hood.

5. Remove the front compartment front sight shield push-in retainers (1).

6. Remove the front grille assembly. Refer to Vehicle Service Manual.

7. Using a suitable flat-bladed tool, release the 4 locking tabs (1) and remove the front grille emblem from the front grille.

8. Accurately position the new emblem (1) using the molded “UP” symbol (2) and locating pins.

9. Install the new emblem, applying enough evenly distributed pressure to engage the retention tabs (3).10. Verify that the emblem is fully seated and securely attached to the grille.

11. Install the front upper grille.

12. Install the front compartment front sight shield.13. Ensure all electrical connections are intact, test any front lighting to confirm it is functioning.

Rear Bow Tie Emblem Replacement

1. Turn off vehicle.

2. If there is an existing emblem on the endgate:

2.1. Mark the position of the emblem with a washable marker or masking tape prior to removal.

2.2. Use a heat gun or equivalent to remove the existing emblem (1) from the painted sheet metal surface. Carefully use a plastic flat-bladed tool to assist in removal.

2.3. Clean any remaining residue with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water. Wipe surface dry witha clean lint-free towel.

3. If there is no existing emblem on the endgate:

3.1. Clean the endgate surface below the handle where the emblem will go. Prepare the endgate surface using the included alcoholwipes.

3.2. Cut out the supplied paper template that corresponds to the vehicle.

3.3. Position the template (2) along the bottom edge of the endgate handle per the instructions on the template. Tape the template

into place. Ensure the template is not crooked.

4. Installing the Rear Emblem:

4.1. The part surface should be 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain 21°C (70°F) for one hour after assembly toallow adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength.

4.2. When removing protective liners from the adhesive tape, be careful not to touch tape with hands and do not allow tape to come incontact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.

4.3. Position new emblem (1) carefully within reference marks and place on prepared surface of endgate.

4.4. Using the palm of the hand, apply strong pressure to all areas of the emblem to ensure full adhesion is achieved.4.5. Carefully remove any markings, tape, or the template used to locate the rear emblem. Clean the endgate surface as needed.

5. Remove the front upper grille (1). Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.

6. Disconnect fog lamp connectors.
