1.0 SCOPE

This specification defines the minimum requirements for the design, materials, fabrication, assembly, inspection, testing, painting, preparation for shipment and supply of base plate mounted centrifugal pump unit (pump/motor/controls) suitable for installation on an onshore facility in Eastern Ecuador. The pump unit is to meet the requirements of this specification and the referenced documents.

The following equipment items are included in the scope of supply:

3.1 Applicable Standards, Codes and Regulations (Latest Edition)

The latest editions of the following National Codes, Standards and Regulations form a part of this specification except as modified herein. All applicable portions of these documents are to be used in the design and fabrication of the equipment.

4.0 GENERAL CONTRACTOR INFORMATION

4.1 The COMPANY may choose not to select the lowest bid nor any equipment which is technically acceptable. Size, weight, ease of operation, efficiency, ease of maintenance, previous experience will all be considered in the overall evaluation.

4.2 Prototype or unproven equipment not having a well established operation record will not be considered. Only standard designs that are in regular and current production and manufactured for the service and site conditions specified, shall be offered. Equipment, piping and valves shall meet or exceed the design pressures and temperatures shown on the drawings and specifications. Per Section 11, CONTRACTOR shall offer, as a Company purchased options a list with cost; of all special tools for maintenance.

4.3 When specified in Section 7, CONTRACTOR will also be required to supply completed data sheet(s) for all equipment in his scope of supply. Completed ISA data sheets or detailed Bill of Material descriptions are required for each CONTRACTOR furnished instrument. These data sheets shall be submitted for COMPANY review and approval during the drawing approval cycle.

4.4 CONTRACTOR shall provide the cost for developing country, operation and maintenance support for 10 days in its proposal to cover on-site alignment check, commissioning and start-up. In addition CONTRACTOR shall provide rate sheets listing the charges for personnel and expenses which would be charged for long term operation and maintenance support after the initial support period has expired. CONTRACTOR shall also provide the location of its maintenance facility nearest COMPANY's Ecuador Operation and the name, address, phone and facsimile number of its customer service representative at that location.

4.5 COMPANY's duly authorized agents and/or representative shall have the following:

4.5.1 Free access to those portions of CONTRACTOR's facilities utilized in any manner for construction of the pump units and components under this specification.

4.5.2 Free access and the right to review all records, logs, reports, and certificates connected or concerned in any manner with construction of the pumps skids and components under this specification.

4.5.3 Right to inspect and/or witness any of CONTRACTOR's activities and/or operations in conjunction with this specification and to reject any work, material or procedure deemed defective or sub-standard.

4.6 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for all detailed design together with workmanship and performance of the pumps, motors and controls.

4.7 In the absence of any applicable codes and standards, it is the intent of the COMPANY that the CONTRACTOR will adhere to the best engineering practices and that material and workmanship shall be of a high standard.

4.8 CONTRACTOR's extent of supply shall consist of the design, sizing, provision of materials, construction, drawings, data sheets, assembly, painting, testing, delivery and all necessary sub-vendor coordination required.

4.9 Conflicts between the requirements of this specification and the data sheets shall be brought to the COMPANY's attention in writing. The resolution of conflicts will be forwarded, by the COMPANY, to the CONTRACTOR in writing.

Where the CONTRACTOR's bid deviates from the specifications, this fact shall be separately stated in the bid under the heading "Exceptions to the Specifications". Exceptions must address the standards, job specifications and the request for quotation. Failure to identify exceptions shall be deemed to be acceptance by the CONTRACTOR of the specification requirements.

Request for substitutions of any kind shall be complete with all pertinent engineering information required for COMPANY's evaluation of the superiority, or equivalence of the substitution. Substitutions may not be made without express approval of COMPANY.

5.0 DESIGN, FABRICATION AND ASSEMBLY REQUIREMENTS

5.1 General Requirements

5.1.1 The completed pumps/motors/control skid assemblies will be designed for a single lift, complete with piping to the skid edge, and valving and controls. The skid shall be designed per Specification B15-EPF-20-SP-009 for “Structural Steel Skid Mounted Assemblies”, and conform Specification B15-EPF-20-SP-003 for “Pipe, Valves and Fittings”.

5.1.2 The CONTRACTOR shall submit to COMPANY for Approval, the detailed design calculations and drawings of the base plate mounted Centrifugal Pump Units including all components and appurtenances; e.g. pipe and nozzle stresses, electric motors, padeye and base plate design, control panel, etc. The CONTRACTOR shall have the design calculations and drawings prepared by an engineer experienced in the design of Centrifugal Pump Units and/or the sub components.

5.1.3 All tubing, exposed to injection water, shall be seamless Monel or Duplex stainless steel with Swagelok fittings. All external bolting shall be 316 stainless steel..

5.1.4 The Water Injection Pumps and controls shall be designed to operate in an electrically unclassified area.

5.1.5 All equipment will be suitable for operation in the following environmental conditions:

Atmosphere: Tropical Altitude: 244 meters. Humidity Range: 70%-100% Maximum Ambient Temperature: 114°F Minimum Ambient Temperature: 60°F Maximum Wind Loading: 85 mph Seismic Zone UBC Zone IV

5.2 Design Requirements

5.2.1 Paragraphs below are clarifications and additions to API Standard 610, AND PUMPS SHALL BE DESIGNED EACH FOR 1000 GPM @ 2500 PSIG discharge pressure, Material Class D-1 in accordance the Table H-1 per API 610, 0.97 S.G., 0.33 cP viscosity @ 200 °F maximum p umping temperature.(See attached Existing Pump Curve No. 62197).

5.2.2 For Water Injection Pumps, the casing shall be DUPLEX SS Case.

5.2.3 Pumps shall have a continuously rising Head/Capacity curve characteristic with approximately a 10% head rise from rated point to shut off.

5.2.4 The whole pump casing shall have a pressure rating allowing it to be tested at the hydrostatic test pressure of the discharge side by mounting blinds to the suction and discharge nozzles.

5.2.5 The CONTRACTOR shall provide calculations for shaft displacement at the coupling with forces and moments applied according to API.

5.2.6 Seal Requirements:

For the Water Injection Pumps, the following seals are required:

John Crane Metastream Coupling, SS Shim Pack One Standard Straight Bore, One long Hub Taper Bore, 7" Spacer, TSCS-0740-0027-1778, Removable Non-Sparking Brass Guard.A non sparking fixed throttle bushing shall be provided in the seal gland.

5.2.7 A lateral critical speed analysis of the whole train, and a damped response to unbalance curve shall be provided to the COMPANY for comment at least 6 weeks prior to construction.

5.2.8 A torsional vibration analysis of the completed couple train shall be provided to COMPANY for comment at least 6 weeks prior to construction.

5.2.9 For pumps over 2500 HP a pressure lubrication system shall be provided to supply oil at a suitable pressure to all bearings. The system shall include an external oil air cooler suitable for the tropical environment sized for 95°F, 100% humidity, etc. A low pressure switch or low lube oil tank level switch shall be provided to monitor lube system for leakage.

5.2.10 Materials for pump parts shall equal to API-610 class D-1 (Modified). See Section 5.3 for a discussion of special process conditions related to material selection for pump components exposed to process fluids.

5.2.11 Full radiographic inspection of suction and discharge nozzle welding shall be provided. Other welds shall be magnetic particle or dye penetrant.

5.2.12 After final balancing of each assembled rotating element has been completed, a residual balance check shall be performed and recorded.

5.2.14 Electric motor shall comply with COMPANY Specification No B15-EPF-70-SP-011, "Medium Voltage Motors".

5.2.15 Couplings shall be flexible disk non-lubricated type with stainless steel hub bolts. Acceptable manufacturers are Thomas and Metastream.

5.2.16 All pumps shall have their Best Efficiency Point between rated point and normal point. The motor will be sized according to this criterion (allowing for testing on water).

5.2.17 For pumps ≥ 2500 HP the pump shall be equipped with non contacting (eddy current) shaft probes. Radial X-Y probes shall be provided at each bearing and axial displacement probes (one active and one inactive) at the thrust bearing. A one event per revolution mark and corresponding phase reference transducer shall be installed at the pump shaft. The probes shall be wired to the control module in the Pump Control Panel supplied by CONTRACTOR. The Analog output (4-20mA) vibration monitoring equipment shall be wired to a terminal box on the skid for monitoring by the plant PLC. Otherwise, for pumps up to 2500 HP, each bearing housing shall have a velocity probe mounted on the horizontal joint with the signal wired to the unit control panel and readable without opening the panel or a panel mounted meter.

5.2.18 The motor will be equipped with casing vibration transducers to measure absolute vibration of the casing in the vertical plane at each bearing housing (one inboard and one outboard). The transducers, accessories and installation will be in accordance with API 670 (latest edition). Both motor and pump shall use the same system and components.

5.2.19 For pump ≥ 2500 HP the pump shall be equipped with 3-wire, 100 ohm, platinum RTDs. Two (2) RTDs are required in each bearing and two (2) in the pump case discharge. RTDs shall be wired to temperature monitoring equipment mounted in pump control panel supplied by pump CONTRACTOR. (One RTD is spare at each bearing and pump discharge flange).

5.2.20 When selected, the Analog output (4-20mA) from temperature monitoring equipment shall be wired to a terminal box for monitoring by the plant PLC.

5.2.21 For pumps applications using RTDs, the electric motor pump driver shall be equipped with 6 RTDs (2 per phase), 3 wire, 100 ohm, platinum type. One RTD shall be utilized for temperature measurement of each phase of the stator winding, with one spare per phase (3 phases). These RTDs shall be wired to a junction box on the base plate. Wiring from junction box to Motor Protection Relay in MCC will be by others.

5.2.22 Each pump control panel shall be designed to monitor, alarm, and shutdown the pump in the event of any unsafe condition existing with pump or motor. The panel shall have provision for shutdown input from plant ESD panel. The panel shall have one (1) set of dry contacts for COMPANY use for alarm and one (1) set of dry contacts to shut unit down. All contacts wired for COMPANY use shall be wired to a terminal block. 20% spare terminals shall be provided. Panel enclosure shall be NEMA 4X Stainless Steel. All panel electrical components shall be suitable for Class I, Div 2, Group D, for Water Injection Pumps.

5.2.23 The pump case shall be designed with a valved vent & drain arrangement.

5.3 For Water Injection Service, the produced water pumped is a hot (180 °F) and saline (25,000 chlorides) produced water with traces of H2S and oxygen (15 ppb) with substantial dissolved carbon dioxide resulting in a low pH water (about 6 pH). This is a very corrosive fluid. Materials of construction for pump internals include materials such as duplex stainless steel, or super duplex. The pump casing shall be Duplex Stainless Steel.

5.4 The unfiltered and filtered vibration levels defined in the 8th edition of API-610 shall apply to the pump at the design rates.

5.5 Noise levels measured three feet from the pump skid in a free field shall be provided to COMPANY. No enclosure is required.

5.6 CONTRACTOR shall provide Protective shutdowns for each pump including but not limited to main bill of material, Attachment B.

6.0 ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

6.1 General

6.1.1 All electrical equipment shall be installed in accordance with requirements of National Electrical Code (NEC-NFPA-70) and per COMPANY Specification B15-EPF-70-SP-001, “Electrical Wiring and Materials”.

6.1.2 Electrical Classification is Class I, Div. 2, Group D, for Water Injection Pumps.

6.1.3 Instrument elements used on skid shall be selected from the attached approved Vendor List found in Attachment F.

6.1.4 Instrumentation design and installation shall be per COMPANY specifications B15-EPF-60-SP-002 and B15-EPF-60-SP-001, “Specification for Instrument Design” and “Specification for Instrument Installation”.

6.1.5 All electrical equipment shall be functionally tested by CONTRACTOR as required to assemble complete functional package. COMPANY reserves the right to witness any and all tests carried out by CONTRACTOR.

6.1.6 Motor starters will be provided by COMPANY and located off-skid in the MCC. Power and control wiring to motors from the MCC will be by others.

6.1.7 COMPANY will supply 4160 VAC / 3 Ph / 60 Hz and 120 / VAC/ 1 Ph / 60 Hz power to each pump base plate (if required).

6.1.8 Control, instrumentation, and power wiring (including RTDs, vibration leads), within the limits of the baseplate shall be installed in rigid conduits and fittings, properly bracketed to minimize vibration and isolated or shielded to prevent

interference between voltage levels. All wiring for interconnection to COMPANY equipment shall be pulled to stainless steel junction boxes. Junction boxes shall be segregated internally by signal type with a minimum of 20% spares in each section. All terminals and wiring shall be identified and appear on CONTRACTOR’s drawings. The motor power junction box shall be adequately sized for termination of a 3/c, 5 KV cable with ground wire. On-skid junction boxes & conduit layout shall be approved by Company prior to fabrication.

6.1.9 All control instrument wires shall be twisted, shielded, copper pairs or triads #16 AWG minimum. All other power and control wiring shall by type THHN, 600V copper with #14 AWG minimum for control and power.

6.1.10 Conduit Box shall be oversized for stress cones and oversized with insulated standoffs and buss bars. Conduit Box shall be routable 360° in 90° steps and should be removed for transportation.

7.0 PROTECTIVE COATINGS

7.1 CONTRACTOR's shall apply the coating system per the attached specification B15-EPF-20-SP-001, “Above Ground External Painting/Galvanizing”.

8.0 EQUIPMENT TAGGING AND NAMEPLATES

8.1 A 316 stainless steel equipment nameplate shall be securely attached to the pump in a prominent position. Stainless steel rivets or screws shall be used to secure the equipment nameplate. Adhesives or welding as methods of attachment are not permitted. The equipment nameplate shall not be fixed to a part of the pump unit that is removed to provide access for maintenance. An outboard main skid member is the preferred location for nameplates attached to skid packages.

8.2 Each equipment nameplate shall carry the name of the CONTRACTOR and the tag number(s) of the equipment engraved in 1/2" high letters and numerals. The tag numbers for the equipment shall be as indicated on the Reference Drawings and Data Sheets. In addition to the tag number, the equipment nameplate shall also contain:

8.3 CONTRACTOR shall submit a panel front facsimile with a panel nameplate schedule for approval. Schedule shall show nameplate wording, size and color of letters/background.

9.0 INSPECTION AND TESTING

This section describes the minimum requirements for inspection and testing and does not relieve the CONTRACTOR of his obligation to carry out other inspection and testing as required by the codes and standards.

9.1 All equipment supplied by the CONTRACTOR shall be subject to inspection by the COMPANY, his authorized agents and other certifying authority if required. All test certificates for materials used during fabrication must be available prior to final inspection.

9.2 Requirements for inspection, testing and related documentation shall be in accordance with the attached Inspection Matrix.

9.3 All instruments and controls shall be operationally tested by CONTRACTOR and witnessed by COMPANY or its representative.

9.4 Hydrostatic test per ANSI B31.3 @ 1.5 x working pressure, using shop water and air pressure; NDT butt weld piping, NDT structural skid: 100% (UT) of main beam members and all welds associated with lifting lugs. 9.5.1 Entire fabricated package will receive shop function test pump not connected –

no water pumped. 9.5.2 NPSHR testing shall be performed on one unit only at the rated conditions. The

CONTRACTOR shall at least 6 weeks before first scheduled test, submit to COMPANY for approval, detailed procedures for all running tests, including criteria for all monitored parameters

9.5 As an option to be quoted, witnessed performance test at rated speed, flow and pressure. Test at vendor shop, using engine generator for power W/ converter, water pumped will be fresh at ambient temperature.

9.6 After completion of all tests, the COMPANY may request an inspection of the pump bearings and seals and if so, this shall not be considered an additional requirement.

10.0 PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT

10.1 After the completion of assembly, tests and coating the pump packages shall be dried and thoroughly cleaned of all grease and loose debris. All openings, machined surfaces, flanges, and threaded connections shall be protected by coating with rust preventative and installing gasketed metal flange covers. All completely sealed components shall have desiccant or equivalent inside prior to sealing. Additional requirements for shipment preparation shall be in accordance with COMPANY's General Specification No. B15-EPF-20-SP-009, “Structural Steel Skid Mounted Assemblies”.

10.2 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for providing any bracing, clips and/or brackets necessary for temporary support during transportation. CONTRACTOR shall also provide the magnitude of all temporary loads at the support points. Final details of temporary bracing, clips and brackets shall be subject to approval by COMPANY.

10.3 CONTRACTOR will be responsible for load out, tie down and securing for shipment of the completed packages and equipment on CONTRACTOR furnished transport. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for supplying any required spreader bars or frames and all required rigging for the loadout and tie down at the CONTRACTOR's facility.

CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for transport to the COMPANY designated receiving location on U.S. Gulf Coast (for bid purposes quote delivery to the port of Houston). Removal from conveyance upon arrival at designated receiving location shall be by COMPANY.

10.4 Completed units shall not ship until released by COMPANY.

11.0 SPECIAL TOOLS

CONTRACTOR shall provide one set of special tools, if required, for the erection and/or maintenance of the pump unit. These items shall be priced separately. Prior to shipment each special tool shall be tagged with a stainless steel tag.

12.0 SPARES

12.1 Within 14 days after receipt of order, CONTRACTOR shall provide two (2) priced recommended spare parts lists for each pump unit specified herein. One (1) list shall cover commissioning. The second list shall cover the first year of operation. CONTRACTOR shall provide both commissioning and operation spare parts as specified on the lists subject to review and confirmation by COMPANY. The proposed equipment price shall not include the cost of recom mended spare parts . COMPANY will place future orders for spare parts based on CONTRACTOR’s submittals and recommendations.

12.2 All spare parts furnished by CONTRACTOR shall be wrapped and packaged to preserve an original as-new condition under site conditions of storage. The spare parts shall be properly tagged with stainless steel tags and coded so that later identification as to their intended equipment usage will be clear. The tags may be of the inexpensive stainless steel (Dymo Tape) imprinted tape variety, provided that they are wired with stainless steel wire or permanently taped to the component or box. All items supplied shall be packaged separately and clearly marked as "Spare Parts" and shipped with the equipment in accordance with the instructions from the COMPANY. Packing lists shall be furnished complete and in detail so that parts can be handled without uncrating, if desired.

13.0 DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

13.1 Documentation for quotation, approval and record shall be supplied to the COMPANY by CONTRACTOR in accordance with the CONTRACTOR Documentation Requirements form attached to this specification.

13.2 Documentation for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) shall include an I/O wiring connection diagram showing input and output end devices connected to the PLC I/O cards, I/O address assignments, register assignments, and a printout of the logic program with comments and labels for all PLC functions. The I/O and register addresses shall be cross referenced with the logic program.

13.3 CONTRACTOR shall provide a complete document package for unit components. Other suppliers shall forward certified data to be compiled into a single dossier by the CONTRACTOR. An operation and preventative maintenance manual for the pump package shall be provided by the CONTRACTOR in an indexed and assembled loose-leaf binder in the quantity specified on the attached CONTRACTOR Documentation Matrix form.

13.4 CONTRACTOR shall completely fill out the attached data sheets and return with the quotation.

14.0 WEIGHT CONTROL

14.1 The transportation, installation, and operation of this equipment requires the consideration of weight and center of gravity for this project. Accurate estimates of weight and center of gravity location are required and must be provided by the CONTRACTOR at the earliest possible date. A "Weight/Center of Gravity Control Sheet" is attached for this purpose and must be completely filled out by the CONTRACTOR, at the bid (preliminary estimate), submittal of approval drawings (detailed design estimate) and at shipment (weighed).

14.2 Approval drawings shall include the C.G. and weight for the motor/pump assembly.

14.3 CONTRACTOR shall provide "as-built" measured weight of the pump unit with a complete description of what is included in the weight.

14.4 The "as-built" weight shall be painted on base plates or equipment supports (on a "sign board" if required) in clearly visible letters at least four inches (4") high. If different, the shipping weight, including export packing, shall be shown on a similar board, using the same lettering, also shown in Pounds.

15.0 SAFETY

It is the intent of the COMPANY that operational hazards be reduced to a minimum. CONTRACTOR shall use sound engineering judgment in the design, fabrication/assembly of the pump package to ensure that it will perform the required process function without compromising this aim. If so equipped, piping, valves, electrical conduit/cable and instrument tubing shall be arranged in such a manner as to avoid tripping and overhead hazards, yet still be operational. Piping, tubing and conduit of insufficient mechanical strength for standing, shall be protected from personnel traffic.

1. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish the specified documentation with the original and each copy of their quotation as tabulated on pages 2 and 3 (Contractor Documentation Requirements) as well as any other technical information which they deem necessary and appropriate.

2. CONTRACTOR shall furnish for approval and record the specified documentation in the number of copies indicated and within the number of calendar days indicated following receipt of Purchase Order.

3. All CONTRACTOR documentation shall be submitted in original form on clear and legible copies. Prints with white lines and dark background are not acceptable. Maximum drawing size shall be 24” x 36” unless approved by COMPANY. Preferred sizes for final documentation are 8-1/2x11 or 11x17.

4. CONTRACTOR shall furnish all requested documentation in proper form and quantity in accordance with the specified requirements. Each document must be properly identified by name of manufacturer, purchase order number, project identification, plant name and location, complete equipment name, and tag number located on the cover sheet or first page of said document or, in the case of drawings, on each drawing.

5. All documentation transmitted must specify its intended use such as “for approval”, “for fabrication”, “for construction”, “as-built drawings”, “certified prints”, “spare parts list”, type of manual, etc.

6. CONTRACTOR shall furnish final documentation as printed matter on 8 ½” x 11” or 11” x 17” size. Where original drawings must be reduced in size to meet these requirements, a full-size, certified, reproducible transparency of each drawing shall be supplied in addition to the reduced-size copy.

7. Documentation or drawings “for approval” shall be accurate. Preliminary documentation is not acceptable. Any part of work subject to approval must have a signed release, dated and issued, before any fabrication begins.

8. Final CONTRACTOR documentation must be accompanied by the CONTRACTOR Documentation Receipt Form.
