    ArtFocus on basic artistic skills:

    Painting and drawing,

    design and creative work.

    Students work with variousmedia: paints (watercolor,

    acrylic), pastels, pens,

    pencil, graphite/charcoal.

    Projects include: self-

    portraits, heraldry design,

    book cover design, shading

    and lighting, comic book

    drawing, pop art and color

    studies.

    Focus on basic artistic skills:

    Work in perspective, shading, color control, design and creation of stained glass (paper windows). Various media involved in

    projects: acrylics, watercolor, charcoal, pastels, sculpting clay. Students are expected to learn and employ common

    techniques in two 40 minute sessions each week. Most work is individual in nature, but two projects are done in groups (the

    stained glass windows) Additional projects support the school plays, events, and classical day activities.No textbooks are used by students and all material is provided by the academy.
