SEMINAR
On July 4, 2015, all the final year students of BA along with the journalism faculty miss. Aron,
Participated in a seminar, „The path to success-opportunities and challenges for women today‟ to
mark “The Daughter‟s day celebrations” at NMKRV College, conducted by PRCI (The Public
Relations Council of India).
MOCK INTERVIEW
August 1, 2015-The Second year and final year BA students had a mock interview session
organized by the journalism faculty at our campus.
INDEPENDENCE DAY
August 15, 2015- A survey on „What does Independence mean to you..?‟ was conducted by the
final year BA students in the campus under the guidance of Mrs. Raji. And also few students
from the final year BA department went and covered the Lalbagh flower show.
STREET PLAY
On September 4, 2015, final year students of BA department participated in the „Engage to
Change‟ competition series on the occasion of the world suicide prevention day-2015. And they
obtained 4th
rank in the team event „Conduct a Campus Based Campaign‟ i.e. a street play on
suicide prevention under the guidance of Mrs. Raji, conducted by the „National Institute of
Mental Health and Neuro Sciences‟ (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
LIAZO‟15
There was an Inter collegiate humanities fest conducted by the BA department. There were many
events such as lit quiz, pick and speak by the literature department, debate and collage by the
political science department, caption writing and radio jockey by the journalism department, on

September 2015.
BOOK REVIEW
In the month of September, 2015, all the students of final year BA had actively participated in
the book review series conducted by the literature department faculty, Mrs. Raji. They were
enlightened on reviewing the books of various Indian and Non-Indian authors.
SEMINAR
Goshi Catherin Bhagyarathna, Hemima .S, Keerthi, Mercy Shilpa.P, Neha Elias, Delhirani.S,
Samantha Ruth D‟Silva, Celestine Vinitha.W and Shwetha.R of final year BA participated in an
International conference on Contemporary Discourses of Gender by the speaker, Dr. Gauri
Vishvanatham, Professor in the Humanities, Columbia University, at Christ University, on 12th
January, 2016.
REPUBLIC DAY
26th
January, 2016- Students of BA department made a collage of „Republic India‟, under the
guidance of political science department faculty, Mrs. Hephziba Rajan. They posted their
creativity.
