Theatre: A typical 4-year program Students in the Theatre program explore technical aspects of theatre as well as performance throughout their c areer h ere. Because of the Theatre program’s relatively compact degree requirements, several of our students elect to pursue a double major or minor and are able to complete their college degree in 4 years. We have double majors ranging from psychology to marketing to project management to engineering to English. We also encourage involvement in production every semester either in tech or in performance.

The Theatre Degree Program

The Musical Theatre Degree Program

Fall 1 Spring 1

Musical Theatre: A typical 4-year program With the units required for this degree, several of our musical theatre students explore a minor and are able to complete their college degree in 4 years. Some students also elect to study abroad for a summer or a semester, which can extend their time at CSU Chico by a semester or a year. Students getting a double major typically take 4 ½ or 5 years to finish. Also remember we strongly encourage involvement in production in a range of capacities over the course of the degree.

Laptop Requirement To complete this program, the

student must have the use of a laptop computer. Please consult with the department for current

hardware and software requirements. This package is expected to serve the student

for the entire length of the program.
