2. Eligibility Criteria (For Engineering)2.1. For the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have passed the Qualifying Examination with minimum eligibility criteria of percentage of marks
in subjects prescribed by AICTE/ INC, Govt. of India, from time to time from, 2.1.1. The Gujarat Board; or2.1.2. The Central Board of Secondary Education: Provided that,
2.1.2.1. The school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or 2.1.2.2. The school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and
Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or2.1.3. The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi: Provided that,
2.1.3.1. The school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or 2.1.3.2. The school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu or Dadra and
Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or2.1.4. The National Institute of Open Schooling: Provided that,
2.1.4.1. The study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or 2.1.4.2. The study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu
or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; or2.1.5. The International School Board (International Baccalaureate and Cambridge) : Provided that,
2.1.5.1. The study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the State of Gujarat; or 2.1.5.2. the study Centre/school in which the candidate has studied, shall have been located in the Union Territories of Daman and Diu
or Dadra and Nagar Haveli and whose parents are of Gujarat origin; and2.1.6. Have appeared in GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year
2.2. A candidate whose parents are of Gujarat origin and are serving out of Gujarat in the service of Central Government or other State Government, Armed Forces, Boards or Corporations owned or controlled by the Central Government or other State Government or any nationalised bank and who has passed the qualifying examination from the State where parents are serving and has appeared in the GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year, shall be eligible for admission.
2.3. A candidate who has passed the Qualifying Examination from any other State and,-2.3.1. Has appeared in GUJCET conducted in the corresponding academic year; and2.3.2. whose parents are serving in the category of services as shown below and who are transferred from other States to Gujarat and have
resumed their duties in the place where they are transferred in Gujarat and shall remain so transferred in the State of Gujarat at the time of registration for admission, shall be eligible for admission and his candidature shall be included in the merit list.
2.4. Candidate who has passed the supplementary examination being conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and other board shall be eligible for admission in the same academic year of passing such examination.

5. Eligibility Criteria for NRI/NRI Sponsored Candidate5.1. In addition to the guidelines for filling up of Management Seats, following points would also be applicable for admission process on N.R.I.
seats:5.1.1. The students who have passed qualifying examination from outside India would be exempted from GUJCET- 2018 examination and
based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination they would be included in the merit list. Such candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the State Government for admission.However, if the students have passed qualifying equivalent examination from India, they must have appeared in GUJCET-2018 examination; then only, he/she will be considered eligible for admission. Priority would be given to N.R.I. candidates for admission on N.R.I. seats.
5.1.2. The students who have passed qualifying examination from outside India shall have to obtain equivalency certificate from Association of Indian Universities, Delhi.
5.1.3. N.R.I. student who seeks admission on N.R.I. seat will have to submit copy of his/her passport as well as passport of his/her mother and/or father, to prove himself/herself as an N.R.I. candidate.
N.R.I. sponsored students have to submit proof of his/her sponsor being an N.R.I. Copy of sponsor Passport (which contains signature of sponsor) as well as the affidavit has to be submitted. The relation of N.R.I. (sponsor) with the student (N.R.I. sponsored candidate), sponsor’s undertaking the responsibility for payment of tuition and other fees as well as the entire responsibility of the candidate’s study should have been clearly mentioned in the affidavit.5.2. N.R.I sponsored students shall have to be included in the merit list of N.R.I. seats as well as in the merit list of Management Seats.

9. Admission Counseling ProgramCounseling program shall be displayed on website: www.charusat.ac.in and on the notice board of the administration office of Charotar University of Science and Technology.
9.1. Candidates shall have to remain present personally for admission at CHARUSAT, Charusat Campus - Changa at the scheduled date and time. However, if candidate is unable to remain present personally on the date of admission due to serious illness / accident or any such unavoidable circumstances, his/her guardian can remain present on the prescribed date and time, along with an authority letter.
9.2. Candidate approaching CHARUSAT after his/her scheduled time, shall be given admission at the available seat and branch in the respective category at that point in time, if the admission process is on.
9.3. Before coming for Counseling, the candidate should visit the website: www.charusat.ac.in and check the availability of the seats.
10.Preparation of Merit List and Admission10.1. The merit list of the eligible applicants shall be prepared in consonance with guidelines of the ACPMEC/ACPC.
