The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree program is a 136 credit hour cohort-based program that begins each Fall. The first cohort began in the Fall 2014 semester.
The degree program is designed to prepare Native American students in the native nation building process by participating in leadership, tribal management, and economic development in their respective communities. This degree is for students who seek a career that will prepare them to join the workforce on the Navajo Nation.
A large proportion of employment opportunities with the Navajo Nation require a degree in Business Administration. Positions include: Accounts Maintenance Specialist, Community Services Coordinator, Program Manager I, Contract Compliance Officer, Public Information Officer, Office Specialist/Assistant, Accountant, Fee Collector, Accounting Technician, Administrative Assistant, Employment Development Specialist, and Accounts Payable Specialist.
The mission of the Diné College School of Business is to be a catalyst in the social and economic transformation of the Navajo and other Native Nations by providing learning opportunities for business and economic development strategies.
Students are highly encouraged to sign up for an internship through the Diné College internship program.
BA students are required to meet with the Program Coordinator or Faculty advisor prior to scheduling classes each semester. This will ensure students are enrolling in the correct classes for their degree program.The College is part of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) and AmericanIndian Business Leaders (Diné College Chapter) www.AIBL.org.
