BACHELOR OF CATHOLIC STUDIES

Page 2: BACHELOR - Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College · The rich and stimulating curriculum of the Bachelor of Catholic Studies communicates important bodies of knowledge and challenges students

Our Lady Seat of Wisdom is pleased to introduce our Bachelor of Catholic Studies. The degree requirements outlined below have been designed to give students a rigorous education in the core disciplines of the liberal arts. Our integrated program reveals and explores interconnections among disciplines, teaching students to approach learning with the “bigger picture” in mind. In addition, students who choose to pursue a concentration gain a depth of knowledge in their chosen field and competence in using the research methods of the discipline. The rich and stimulating curriculum of the Bachelor of Catholic Studies communicates important bodies of knowledge and challenges students to acquire the critical thinking, writing and research skills.

Those not taking a concentration must ensure that they complete at least three courses at the 300-level or above; no more than 45 credits at the 100- or 0-level may be counted towards the degree requirements. In order to qualify for graduation, students must earn a minimum cumulative average of 63.0.

* Courses in bold must be taken in the designated semester; other courses may be taken at a different time. † Either THE 245 or the theology distribution requirement (THE 212/273/373) must be taken in second year.

Concentrations are available in History, Literature, Philosophy, and Theology (see next page).
