Asia Bridge Program (ABP) is a unique industry-academia collaborative program for students from India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Working closely with Shizuoka-based global corporations, the program is designed to educate future global leaders for business and society. The curriculum emphasizes a well-rounded interdisciplinary education with a focus on a combination of technical expertise, business sense, scientific thinking, and interpersonal skills through which students grow as liaisons between Shizuoka and their home countries.

ABP provides all students with fi nancial aid. In addition to exemption from the application and the enrollment fees, it is guaranteed that the fi rst year’s full tuition is waived. Assistance for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years will cover 50% or 100% of tuition and fees based on an annual assessment of individual academic performance during the previous year. There is also the ABP monthly stipend for all the fi rst-year students as well as other governmental and corporate-sponsored funding opportunities.

Eligibility for acceptance to Faculty of Education may change due to Shizuoka University’s current curriculum revision. Anyone interested in Faculty of Education should refer to the application guidelines posted on our web.
Applications for ABP require the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission) and an English profi ciency test (TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS), and optionally the JLPT (Japanese Language Profi ciency Test). The screening takes place in your country and Japan, which means you don't need to travel to Japan at any point during the application process.

What is EJU ?EJU stands for "Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students." The EJU exam is conducted twice a year in India (New Delhi), Indonesia (Jakarta and Surabaya), Thailand (Bangkok and Chiang Mai), Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City), Myanmar (Yangon), and Japan. The EJU tests are offered in English and Japanese.
