Back to basics at Junctions
In 2008 PDO suffered 216 road traffic accidents, 18 of them related to inappropriate driving at road junctions. These resulted in loss of live, injuries and damage. All could have been prevented by applying basic rules and
adhering to the road safety regulations. Here are the accidents……..

Requirement
When approaching a STOP sign junction you slow down and MUST STOP.
You MUST STOP (Even if there is no other traffic) and give way.
You STOP always irrespective of traffic approaching or not or visibility,
Look left, right then left again. Only then enter the junction when it is safe to do so. Remember to allow time to accelerate up to speed after
turning at the junction. Do not overtake on Junctions
