This is an eight module intensive implant course which meets the General Dental Council- UK requirement in implant training in Britain and qualifies the course delegates to gain accredited 128 CPD hours by the British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry upon finishing the course academic and clinical requirements in addition to the course certificate by the British Academy upon passing the course written exam.
This unique course in Clinical & Evidence Based Dental Implantology is a clinical, multi-system, dental implant course which will enable the delegates to make informed evidence based decisions in their day to day dental implant practice and will train delegates to place and restore dental implants according to the standards of the General Dental Council, Royal College of Surgeons and The British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry.
The course modules will take place on one Friday and Saturday of each month. On these two long days ( 9:00 - 19:00 ), will attend interactive seminars and hands-on workshops on models and animal heads. On Sundays the participants will undergo their live clinical training in Leeds when they will attend live surgery and also have the opportunity to meet their patients provided by the course and stat their implant treatment under direct supervision by BAIRD approved mentors. The clinical
training will include treatment planning, CBCT analysis foe their cases, surgical placement, exposure stage, temporisation stage when required, implants impression and fitting the final implant prosthesis.
The Course Assessment
To meet the General Dental Council and The British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry requirements for dental implant training in the UK, formative assessment and feedback will be provided in seminars and after case study discussions. Summative assessment will be carried out via a multiple choice questionnaire at the end of the course. Delegates are expected to document their clinical case(s) and present one of their cases in a viva exam in front of our external examiner from one of the UK/International Universities and our course director; Prof Esposito; The president of The British Academy of Implant & Restorative Dentistry.
BAIRD Clinical Mentoring Scheme As a BAIRD participants and graduates
you are highly encouraged to enrol into the exclusive BAIRD mentoring scheme which is available at a discounted rate to BAIRD members when a group of highly qualified mentors will be available to visit you at your
practice and support you during your in-house implant surgical and
prosthetic treatment offered to your patients. Our course graduates usually aim to place and restore more than 20 implants in the first year and up to 60 to 80 implants by their 3rd year post graduation. You will also be given all the marketing support you need to pursue an implant career successfully.

- While every effort will be given to fix the modules dates, the course organisers might on the off chance, change the module(s) dates on a short notice, in case of lecturers canceling du e to private circumstances.
- No Refunds will be allowed after 30th June 2019.- Refunds will only be given if the course is postponed or cancelled. In which case monies paid will be returned as soon as
possible and in all cases within four working weeks of any cancellation notice, which will be before 13th August 2019. Once the course starts, on the off chance if a module is cancelled then you will not receive a refund, if this occurs then the module will be rescheduled. No interest or compensation will be paid in addition to original funds. The course organisers cannot accept responsibility for any costs incurred outside those submitted as fees for the course, including but not limited to hotel reservations, travel tickets, days lost from work or equipment purchased for the purpose of the course.
