Welcome to our resort at Yayasan Sekah Ganesh, Keramas Bali. The resort would like to present the authentic heritage of Bali andits culture by introducing the traditional way of living of Balinese,spiritual events which is relating to the existence of 11 sacred riversin Keramas village.

Additionally, the resort also would like to present the beauty of abutterfly conservation park that protect the population of the localtype of butterflies as well as from the West Bali National Park.This conservation is legally supervised, controlled and licensedby the Bali Government Official.

COOKING CLASS

Balinese cooking class has been becoming a popular trendon the island which use local and tropical ingredients to cookthe delicious Balinese cuisines. Certain levels of spices(could be none) and herbs ingredients will be served on everyplate to sense the real taste of Balinese foods. We would like tooffer a fun and joyful classes and experience how to cookthe authentic of Balinese cuisines. The classes would be packagedwith an early fresh fish from the Keramas ocean and/or poultry,organic ingredients such as, organic spices and fruits fromthe traditional market. Vegan and vegetarian diets are welcometo served.

* The package of cooking class : • Cooking 5 traditional Balinese cuisines • The cooking venue will be held next to the river or the farming land • The price is IDR 350K net/pack • The activity will be held from the morning until the lunch time, including : - Visiting and choosing the ingredients at the traditional market

- Coffee break within harvesting the organic herbs and any other ingredients for the cooking class

- Preparing and cooking class, approximately 2.5 hours/pack

- Having lunch from the cuisines that have been made

TRADITIONAL RICE FARMING

This activity will introduce how the former Balinese farmers plantedtheir rice by using traditional tools (In Balinese: Tenggala & Lampit)and cows to dig the soil before planting. Surprisingly, this traditionaltechnique of planting in Bali is currently rare to find due tothe advancement of machine in current farming era. Therefore,we would like to re-introduce the uniqueness and authenticationof this traditional planting techniques to the international community.It aims to keep the culture and heritage of Bali purely and sustainably.

* We would serve you with Balinese traditional welcome drink* Brief introduction to use the Balinese farming equipments* Main activities : • Digging the soil by driving the cows • Preparing the rice seeds • Plant the rice into the soil • Clean up in the sacred river • Having lunch at Warung Tebe Lesung • Visiting butterfly conservation park

CYCLING AROUND THE KERAMAS VILLAGE

We will explore Keramas village by bicycle to experience the wayof living of the locals, to understand education circumstances,visiting traditional market, rice fields and irrigation system (Subak)and famous temples of the locals. Approximately we will becycling for 6 kilometre around the village.

* Activities : • We will provide a free shuttle from the hotel • Having Balinese welcoming drink • Short briefing of the tracks • Explore the village by visiting : - Traditional market - Temple of locals (Pura Desa Keramas) - Local’s school (SDN 5 Keramas) - Traditional Balinese houses - Holy spring water - Rice fields and Balinese irrigation system (Subak) - Break time, drinking fresh young coconuts - Subak museum - Finish point on the Masceti beach, free pick up and drop services • Having Lunch at Warung Tebe Lesung • Free visiting the butterfly conservation park

BALINESE SPIRITUAL AND BLESSING CEREMONEYBlessing ceremony is a spiritual and cleansing ceremony topurifying the souls and anxiousness by welcoming a positivevibe of Balinese spirit. A holy person will be leading the wholeceremony to invites a good atmosphere during the purificationprocess. Traditional offering of Balinese would be the mediumof the ceremony and combining with the melodious mantras ofSanskrit. Moreover, we will provide you with the guidance fromthe beginning of learning how to make the offering untilthe processes of the ceremony.

* The ceremony processes : • Making the Balinese offering for the ceremony • Simple Yoga meditation practice before the purification ceremony • Blessing and cleansing ceremony • Praying at Pura Dalem Sekah • Having Lunch at Warung Tebe Lesung • Free visiting butterfly conservation park

TRACKING AND CLEANSING CEREMONY AT THE SACRED RIVERS

As mentioned previously, that Keramas village is surroundedby well-know 11 sacred spring water. Those holy fountains areused to be a place of purification and cleansing ceremony forthe local people. Nowadays, this pure spring water of sacred riversare still existing and well maintained by the locals. We wouldintroduce and take you to the sacred rivers to experiencethe real purification and cleansing ceremony of the locals.

* The cleansing activities:

• Visiting the rice field and irrigation system (Subak) of Keramas Village • Visiting the process of rice mill by the locals • Visiting the local village and temple • Break time at Pakerisan holy spring water and drink fresh young coconut water • Cleansing ceremony at 6 holy spring water ( they are: Pakerisan, perancak, Suranadi, Sumadi, naga Kunci and Toya Magelung ) • Having Lunch at Warung Teba Lesung • Free visiting butterfly conservation park
