February 24 at 7 pmThe Making of the Yiddish

‘FIDDLER ON THE ROOF’Zalmen Mlotek, Jennifer Babiak

and Steven Skybell

Zalmen Mlotek, Music Director Jennifer Babiak ‘Golde’ Steven Skybell ‘Tevye’

Experience the dream of producing Fiddler in the language the original writers - Stein, Bock and Harnick - intended. A FIDLER AFN DAKH

(its Yiddish title) was universally praised by critics and audiences alike! National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene’s production of Fiddler in Yiddish

opened at the Museum of Jewish Heritage with supertitles and extended four times before transferring to Stage 42 in February of 2020.

Hear some of the show’s most beloved and familiar songs; learn about the cast - most of whom didn’t even speak Yiddish - and how they

embraced the journey; and discover how Director Joel Grey learned about the production and became involved!
