1. Why should my clients visit Barbados?

For soft, sandy beaches, warm clear seas and gentle tropical breezes, look no further thanBarbados. But there’s so much more to this tropical Caribbean paradise. From botanical gardens tocaves, a visit to Barbados will be unforgettable. As the birthplace of rum, a stop at one of theirdistilleries for a tasting is a must. Historical Bridgetown is a UNESCO World Heritage site, where yourclients can enjoy the charm of the city as well as the famous Bajan cuisine.

2. What are key selling points I should convey to my clients about these itineraries?

This is an exciting new program Royal Caribbean is introducing, especially for your Crown andAnchor clients, and it’s a perfect opportunity to extend your clients’ cruise vacation with a few pre- or post-cruise days in Barbados to soak up the sun on beautiful beaches, immersing themselves inthe culture and trying local cuisine.

3. Why did Royal Caribbean decide on Barbados as a new home port?

Barbados is one of the most popular Southern Caribbean destinations with infrastructure tosupport a homeporting program. Also, its unique location enables us to explore new ports of call inthe Southern Caribbean and allows us to island hop with less time at sea — giving you more time toexplore these exciting destinations. Our new home port in Barbados also extends the variety of ouritineraries, introducing new ports of call such as Trinidad, Tobago, St. Vincent, and Grenada.

4. Will Royal Caribbean offer year-round sailings from Barbados?

At this time, the Barbados home port program will be a winter program (Dec 2021 – April 2022), butif this becomes one of our most popular itineraries, we may later increase the number of sailings.

5. Do my clients require a visa or any other special documents to sail from Barbados?

At this time, U.S. and Canadian citizens do not need a visa to travel to Barbados or any of thedestinations visited during their cruise. However, we ask your clients to always check theappropriate government websites to ensure you’re viewing the most up to date travel documentrequirements.

6. Will my clients need to fly into Barbados?

Unless they live in Barbados, they will need to fly there.

7. Should I book my clients’ airfare through Royal Caribbean or can I book their airfare with a thirdparty?

We highly recommend reserving air with us due to the limited air inventory available. 9. When can my clients book airfare with Royal Caribbean?

Flights are available 11 months prior to travel date for all cities. Royal Caribbean is investing in newtechnologies that will allow our guests to book outside of 11 months for certain cities that will havenonstop flights to Barbados. This new functionality will be available in February 2021 for the U.S.

10. How long does it take to fly to Barbados from major airports?

There are direct flights from Miami, Charlotte, JFK, Newark, Boston, Washington DC, Toronto andLondon. The average direct flight time is 4.5 hours from the northeast U.S., about 4 hours from thesoutheast U.S., and just over 5 hours from Toronto. Connecting flights will add more time. FromLondon, flight time to Barbados is typically 9 hours.

11. How far is the Barbados airport from the port?

The drive from Barbados airport to the Bridgetown cruise terminal is approximately 30 minutes.

12. Will Royal Caribbean offer transportation between the Barbados airport and the cruise terminal?

Yes, Royal Caribbean will offer transportation between the Barbados airport and the cruiseterminal. Please contact reservations at 866-562-7625 or you as their Travel Advisor can assistwith the purchase of the transfer.

13. Will Royal Caribbean offer pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel packages?Yes, you will be able to reserve hotels via Espresso® or by contacting the call center, as there is no online tool for booking hotel packages at this time. 14. What ports will these sailings visit?

There are three different itineraries, including two separate 7-night sailings and a 14-night sailing with stops in St. Lucia, Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent, Grenada, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and more. By departing from Barbados, Royal Caribbean can reach more of the less-explored ports and offer more back-to-back port days versus days at sea.

15. Will Barbados shore excursions be offered?We are currently working on a couple of options for embarkation tours (ending at the pier) anddebarkation tours (ending at the airport). These options will include panoramic bus tours andbeach stops. These options are a work in progress and have not yet been finalized.

16. What is the local language in Barbados? And the local currency?The Barbados dollar is the primary form of currency, but the US dollar is widely accepted. Theofficial Barbados language is English. Local Bajan dialect is also spoken.
