What about the area that attracts residents? A: The Upper East Side has it all—quality buildings, fine shopping, terrific res- taurants, and the many at- tractions of Central Park. It’s a family-friendly environ- ment—I know, I live there! Q: What types of properties/buildings are particu- larly popular in the neighborhood? A: The prewar buildings have always been— and still are —in hot demand. They combine equal parts of personality and aesthetics that make up a timeless, elegant home.
