The 4 R’s of Receiving Holy Communion
Following the directive of our Archbishop Cardinal Collins Holy Communion is to be received on the hand only. St. Margaret’s will invite parishioners to receive this sacrament using a set-up similar to the one outline by St. Michael’s Cathedral below. Follow these 4 simple steps, the 4 R’s. These steps are in place to protect you, our priest and fellow parishioners.
St. Margaret’s Mass Schedule: seating is on a first come first serve basis Weekday Masses: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 12:05 noon mass Friday Adoration 11am, 12:05 noon mass Saturday 10am Please Note: This week Wednesday’s mass will be celebrated at 10am not 12:05 due to Canada Day. Sunday Masses Saturday Vigil 5pm Sunday 9am, 11:30 am and 7:30 pm
Volunteer’s Needed Many hands make light work. Continuing to have St. Margaret’s open to celebrate mass and receive other sacraments will need to translate into good deeds. We have masks, gloves, face shields/goggles for all volunteers. We grateful who have already stepped forward to volunteer but more are needed to share the workload and enable substitutions should someone need. We are in need of: Ushers We need ushers for ALL Weekday & ALL Weekend Masses. Ushers greet parishioners as they enter the church, helping them navigate the safety protocols of our re-open (sanitizing stations, getting a mask should visitors have forgotten to bring one with them, finding a seat, and monitoring our capacity restrictions). We need at least 4 ushers per Sunday Mass and at least 2 ushers per weekday mass. This video on what to expect when you return to mass may be helpful to watch for those considering volunteering to be an usher. https://youtu.be/_z-NirNbHVE Cleaners We need cleaners for ALL Weekday & All Weekend Masses. One of the major conditions for us to be able to open our church is we need to disinfect pews, door handles, washrooms and other areas in the church after each mass or funeral. Please consider volunteering to make our church safe and clean. We need at least 4 cleaners per weekend mass and least 2 cleaners per weekday mass. The Archdiocese has made a video on cleaning our churches that might be helpful for those considering volunteering for this important ministry. https://youtu.be/4tEYwWBLrMg

From Father Roselle I give thanks to our Lord for finally being able to welcome you back at our parish church and to celebrate Holy Mass, His gift and our nourishment.
We live in a ‘different world’. The way we do things has changed. Also, the way we celebrate our faith at church is not the same as before, at least temporarily.
Nevertheless, there remains something constant – God’s love for us, which is never virtual but always real.
As we continue our faith-journey, let us ask the help of our Blessed Mother that we may also “ponder these things in our heart” Fr. Roselle
Ordinations to the Priesthood It is with great joy that we announce that on Saturday June 27, at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica at 10:00AM Cardinal Collins ordained 8 men to the priesthood. Please pray for these eight priests, soon to be serving in parishes throughout the archdiocese. Congratulations!
