The Symposium will focus on new developments onphytochemicals role and application in nutrition and health.

The meeting will consist of plenary lectures (40 min) andcontributed papers in the form of both oral (20 min) and posterpresentations.

The Scientific and Organizing Committees cordially invite you toparticipate in the International PSE Symposium on“Phytochemicals in nutrition and health”. The meeting will takeplace at Grand Hotel Riva del Sole, Giovinazzo (Bari), Italy, fromthe 27th to the 30th of September 2011.
Important Dates
The scientific programme will start on Tuesday September 27,2011 at 15.00 and will end on Friday September 30, 2011 beforelunch. Early registration is recommended.

Publication of Review Papers
Plenary lectures as well as selected oral communications will bepublished in a special dedicated issue of PhytochemistryReviews. The selection will be done by thy Editorial Board. Themanuscript should be prepared according to the instructions forauthors (http://www.springer.com) and should be submitted tothe organizer after the meeting (deadline November 30, 2011).
Call for papers
Research contributions (short lectures, posters) related to themain topics of the Symposium are welcome. All abstracts willbe reviewed by the scientific committee. Registration isobligatory for acceptance. Instructions for abstracts areavailable on the web site.
Grants
A limited number of grants covering the registration fee will beavailable for PhD-students registered for the meeting andpresenting either a poster or a short lecture.Applications should be sent to the PSE Membership SecretaryDr. Deniz Tasdemir before May 20, 2011.For application please see the websitehttp://www.phytochemicalsociety.org/
