Early in the morning we’ll leave Concepción towards the Mining City of Lota, which history, customs and traditions were built on the richness of coal. First, we’ll visit the Isidora Cousiño Park, touring over its beautiful gardens with galleries of mythological statues, and paths of native and exotic vegetation. During the whole visit we’ll be accompanied by the “Isidoras”- tour guides dressed up in old style costumes- who will tell us about the history of the Park and the Cousiño family. Finishing this tour, we’ll visit the Coal Historical Museum. Here, the “Isidoras” will tell us more about the richness that coal brought to this city. Leaving the Park, we’ll get into an exciting underground adventure. By going down 40 meters under the sea level into “The Chiflón del Diablo” coal mine. During this underground journey we’ll be accompanied by former coal miners who will tell us several stories and legends about this famous place. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Concepción.

CAÑETE HISTORY AND CULTURE Early in the morning we’ll leave Concepción towards the city of Cañete to visit the main tourist attractions
such as The Tucapel Fort, the Main Square, among others. Finishing this tour, we’ll visit the Mapuche Museum which houses one of the most important collections related to this ancestral culture. After this visit we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. To continue with this journey we’ll visit Ruka Lelbún a traditional mapuche home made of wood and straw and often circular in shape. Arriving there the Lonko (head of the mapuche people) and his family will give us a warm welcome and also give us the possibility to participate in traditional activities. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Concepción.

Early in the morning we’ll leave Concepción towards The Laja Falls, located 25 km. from the city of Los Ángeles. These Falls are formed by the water of the Laja River that falls from a high of 50 meters in four extraordinary waterfalls. From the viewpoints we’ll have the possibility of seeing and enjoying this natural environment of incomparable beauty that has been the icon of the Region for many years. We’ll finish the morning having a delicious lunch. Once the lunch is over, we’ll return to Concepción

We’ll leave Concepción on the way to the Port of Talcahuano to visit the Huáscar Battleship, a Monument of the Pacific War. Once this visit is over we’ll make our way through the Talcahuano industrial park to the Pedro del Río Zañartu Historical Park. Arriving there, we’ll tour over its museum that houses a varied collection of pieces brought from all over the World. Then, We’ll visit the Mouth of the Bio Bio River. In the Afternoon, we’ll return to Concepción.
