young people made many requests for events, including:
disco’s
film evenings
sports events
Barrow Youth Action Group
In fact:
disco’s popular with under 14’s only and were split into under 12’s and over 12’s
film evenings badly attended
sports events very popular
Barrow Youth Action GroupWe Introduced
craft events – beading, mask making, biscuit decorating, T-shirt painting, tile decorating, badge making, glass painting, encaustic art, Christmas crafts
outdoor events –dog training, pavement art, BBQ, climbing
tower, face painting,
canoeing, steam train trip
Barrow Youth Action Group
Generally we don’t charge for the outdoor events (except BBQ). All expenses are covered by funding. Opportunity for lots of people to join in.
We do charge a nominal fee for indoor events as spaces are limited, we may need to buy materials, sometimes pay for teachers, and people are then committed.
Consent forms (including for photo’s) for all activities.
