LOGBOOK USAGE

This logbook has been developed by Emirates Engineering Training in its current format as the means of recording basic training tasks in

order to support an application to GCAA to remove Basic Limitation 1 & 9.

THE LOGBOOK HOLDER

Prior to starting any task in this logbook the holder must have the necessary theoretical qualification and appropriate Licence endorsed in

his/her GCAA Licence. It is the responsibility of the logbook holder to complete and record the entire task in this logbook in a clear and

accurate manner.

INSTRUCTOR / PRACTICAL TRAINER / ASSESSOR

The Instructor / Practical Trainer / Assessor shall sign off the entries made by the logbook holder when satisfied that the entries reflect

what work has been carried out under their supervision.

THE ASSESSOR

The Assessor will carry out an assessment after he/she is satisfied that all the entries of the respective Module are completed and

signed off.

PRACTICAL ASSESSOR STATEMENT: After all the assessments have been successfully completed, the assessor should sign off the

Assessor Statement page.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

One assessment per module shall be performed by a qualified designated assessor(s) to ascertain the Trainee’s Practical Knowledge. One task will

be chosen randomly from each Module. In each assessment, 5 areas will be assessed. In each of the 5 areas assessment only one poor grading will

be acceptable. More than one poor grading will require a second assessment to be carried out for that module.
