Rules and Regulation

• Teams and players are expected to follow all rules and regulations. No physical or verbal abuse allowed. Failure to do so will result in severe penalty, possibly disqualification.

• Referee’s decision must be respected. Consult the Sports director if there are any appeals.

• Matches will be played in the order scheduled. Requests for amendments must be done an30 minutes prior to the game with a valid/reasonable reason.

• Teams must be present 10 minutes prior to the game for registration purposes. Note: no warm-up time is given in the first round. 10 minutes warm up time is allocated to teams playing in the second round.

• Teams must present at least 5 players on court or they will be disqualified. In special cases, a valid reason must be presented to the Sports director to obtain special consideration.

• Captains must be aware of any time changes and the Officials are not responsible if the captains are not informed. There will be a waiting time of 10 minutes (where each point is awarded to the opponent team per minute) for the absent team. The team is then disqualified after 10 minutes.

• The committee reserves the rights to alter any of the rules and regulations at any given time to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.

• A maximum of 2 time-outs are allocated to teams. Only one time-out per half (1 minute) is possible in every game.

• Standard rules of basketball apply.

* The basketball sports director has the right to change the time table and also the format of on the match on that day due to any circumstances. Tournament timetable may change in case of a delay in the start of play.

Draft FixtureDescription:1st stage – Round-robin match setup (2 half’s – 15 minutes each half)- Allows teams to play at least 2 “useful” games before being eliminated entirely from the tournament.2nd stage – Round-robin match setup (2 half’s – 15 minutes each half)3rd stage – Finals and semi-finals (20 minutes each half)
